We were on our way to the arena and I couldn't wait, my heart was racing and I was just so exited. Soon as I knew it were were trying to find a parking space closer than we usually park. After 5 minutes of roaming through the parking garage we found one! "c'mon dad hurry up" I said while clicking the elevator button. "Hold on... a old man has to take his time" he said walking like a grandpa.
I gave my ticket to the guy so he could scan it and let me through. I was already up the top waiting for my brother and dad to get up here. I'm an adult, but acting like a 12 year old waiting to meet Justin Bieber...
"Wow... These are our seats" I questioned in shock. "Yes they are sweetie." Dad said. I can't believe we are sitting here, our seats are right next to the Blackhawks bench... I mean right next to it. I took the seat right next to the glass beside the bench so I can stare at Kane. 20 more minutes until they come out to warm up. I look over and my dad's on his phone. "Alright see you after the game and thanks again Dan" I hear him say before he hangs up. Dan is the assistant manager that were meeting after.
~22 minutes later~
I saw the guys throwing pucks from the bench to the ice so that meant they're about to be coming out. I stood up and got out my phone to take pictures. "There's Patrick" my brother said, my head shot up from my phone and smiled. My dad walked over to me and said, "That's Dan right there I'm the red jacket, wave to him". I waved and he waved back! I put my eyes right back on Kane.. he skated over to the glass and threw me over a puck. I actually caught it! I almost cried be The Patrick Kane gave it to me. I seriously loved him. Practice was over very quickly. Now, 10 minutes until game time. I sat down in my seat and played on my phone until the lights got dark.
"And now... your.... Chicccaggooo Bllaaackkhawwks" the announcer yells over the loud speaker and everyone stands up and cheers. After that the Pittsburgh penguins skated out, everyone booed. Kane wasn't starting so he was on the bench beside Seabrook. "Can everyone please rise and remove their caps for the National anthem" the announcer says and the anthemist starts singing. Once she was done everyone in the arena whistled and cheered her on.
