Chapter 24

The last couple of days I've been training, and it's truly has been really intense. Theodore though it would be best to learn how to defend and heal myself just in case nobody would help me then. I've been practicing a good amount of potions with Serenity and Owen, they are really good at it and in doing great because of them.

Meanwhile Noah has been showing me more techniques on self defense, I know how to but we thought it would be better if I knew a lot more. On the other hand Katherine and I have been dueling and she hasn't made it easy for me, but for that I was thankful for. This is something I need help on because I just needed to learn to react faster.

Things haven't been so easy, everyone is a little uptight and under a lot of pressure. My head has been throbbing for the last couple of days doing all this training every single day is tiring. I'am making my way towards Theodore's office, lately he's been a bit of an asshole but I understood that this wasn't easy for anyone and we all just wanted things to be run correctly. I only had three more days left of training before going off with my father, so I needed to make sure I learned a lot before leaving. I push the door open and slip inside closing the door once again, "Hey Theo".

"Hey Ash". He stood up behind his desk and walked around to place some books back on the shelf's.

Sebastian came down from the stairs that lead to the very top of the shelves, "Ready?". I nodded my head and smiled.

They both have been trying to help me to figure out how to fight off the legilimens and the Imperio curse, it's hard but I needed to master this. I just needed to control it but it's not working.

Theodore opened the back door that lead into a small cave and out into the forest. I took a deep breath and stood in the middle preparing myself to be hit with one of the spells. "Remember just breath and try stopping it".Theodore drew his wand "Imperio". I closed my eyes and felt a sudden rush of tightness all over my body and I had a vision of how it crawled to every part of me.

"Fight it!". Theodore yelled. I fell to my knees and digged my fingers feeling the cold moist dirt, trying to hold onto something. "Fight it!". I held on even tighter than before.

"I'm tr-trying!". I'm not going to fall, I'm not going to let him control me, and I'm not going to let him win. I kept repeating this over and over in my mind.

A sudden wave of ease came over me, I felt peaceful as if all the anger and sadness I've been holding for so long vanished slowly but gently. It felt like none of the things I held onto mattered anymore. I felt happy, happy that I was finally able to control this. I look up to see Sebastian extend his hand and I take it and get up from the ground and brush myself off.

"I did it! Theo, Sebastian I finally did it!", I laugh out and jump to hug Sebastian and he spins me around.

"Yes you finally did it, but we still need to practice some more". I smiled and this time it wasn't forced or awkward, it was just a normal. "Good job Ash". I felt proud of myself and I wished that my father would acknowledge my accomplishments then but that didn't matter anymore.

A couple hours later~

I walk inside my room and I felt like I was placed in an oven, I quickly open up all the windows. I grab my underwear and bra and make my way into the bathroom and take a quick shower.

After I'm done I make my way to the closet and grab a lose dress that falls just above my knees. I brush my hair, curl my eyelashes and apply mascara. I put on socks and put on my black slip ons and walk out of my room.

I bumped into Sebastian, "I'm going to put a bell on you". I push him playful and we laugh.

"Well that's not nice!", Sebastian said really offended that I was treating him poorly. "But Anyways dinner is ready so let go!". This boy dragged me down the hallways and I picked up the pace and all you could hear were laughters filling up the manor. I ran down the stairs next to him now I was the one dragging him down the stairs.
