Derek's POV
Today at the BAU is paperwork day which I hate. I sat at my desk and began to work on paper work until someone set a cup of coffee on my desk and I looked up it was Reid
"Morning pretty boy" I say taking a sip from the coffee
"Morning Derek" he says starting to work on his paperwork
Two minutes later comes a grumpy Prentiss
"Uggg I hate Monday's" says Emily throwing her bag down on the desk and sitting down
"Morning to you princess" I say and she looked at me and then looked at my coffee I knew what she was about to do
"Oh no no" I say and she looks at me with puppy dog eyes
"Nope" I say
"Come on you can get some more" Emily says
"Really princess" I say
She looked at me and I gave in
"Fine here" I say giving it to her
"Thanks" she says
"By the way how is Tara" Emily asks
"She's fine she quit her job and decided to be a stay at home Mom" I say
"Who's being a stay at home Mom" says JJ sitting on Reid's desk
"My wife" I say
"Wow that's amazing" says JJ
"So she was a doctor right" says Emily
"Yeah she wanted to be home more with the kids" I say
"That's understandable" says JJ

It's 6:00 in the afternoon and everyone got to go home. As I was driving I decided to call my wife
"Hello" says Tara
"Hey baby" I say
"Oh hey sweetie" she says and I can hear DJ crying
"Rough day" I ask
"Not really Lanna spent the day with Stella so that released a huge weight off my shoulder"she says
"Oh so have yall eaten dinner yet" I ask
"Nope I was going to get takeout" she says
"Well since I'm out I'll get the food alright I see you when I get home sugar momma" I say
"Seriously Derek anyways alright love you" she says
"Love you too" I say then I hang up

I made to the house and when I walked in I was greeted with a very energetic 6 year old
"Daddy your home" says Lanna
"There goes my princess" I say leaning down to kiss her head then I headed over to DJ's play pin
"Hey there buddy" I say and he smiles then I go to the kitchen and set the food down and when I did Tara came downstairs and walked in the kitchen
"There goes my Queen" I say walking to her grabbing her by her waist and giving her a kiss
"How was work" she ask while we separate the food
"It's the same as always boring" I say and she laughs
"Aww stop complaining" she says
"I'm not paper work day is boring it feels like I'm back in high school" I say
"Oh my god" she says laughing
We were just finished putting the food out and I went to grab Dj
"Come on buddy mommy gotta feed ya" I say picking him up and bringing him to the kitchen and I gave him to Tara and then I sat down and we ate and talked about everyone's day.
Dinner was over and Lanna went to get ready for bed and Tara was getting DJ ready for bed too. I was sitting down in the living room and two minutes later Tara came over and sat down and laid her head on my chest
"I can listen to your heartbeat all day" she says kissing my cheek
"Really" I ask her kissing her forehead
"Yeah it like gives me this sense of security and the fact that I will always hear this heartbeat" she says snuggling closer
I looked down at her and kissed the top of her head and we just sat there for about five minutes so I decided that it was time to lay down
"Tara" I say no answer
"Tara baby" I say again no answer
So I move her a little to see that she is fast asleep and I smiled to myself
"And the fact that my heartbeat makes her fall asleep" I say out loud
So I pick her up bridal style and carry her to our room. I lay her down I get ready for bed I lay down and get under the cover and she instinctively snuggles up to me and I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her head
"Goodnight my love" I say and fall to sleep
