CHAPTER 5: THE FIRST NIGHT

Dear Diary,

I ended up in Ravenclaw and i am scared to hear what my mother and father would say. Especially, my father since he is scary and has a short temper. Anyway enough about my parents; i'm sharing a dorm room with three other girls, Cho, Luna and Padma. They all seem really nice especially Luna. Many people make fun of Luna due to be her being a little different to others however to me she seemed cool and I already have a ton of respect for her. According to Padma, Cho and the things i had heard Luna really expresses herself and is a little eccentric. Although, she doesn't care for the judgement of the small brained imbeciles who didn't know any better than to bully those who weren't their version of normal. I wish I was more like Luna sometimes and didn't care what people thought but i guess things are different when you are a Moonshine. I hate being a Moonshine; my parents and family were always in the limelight and one slip up could cost us everything. I HATE IT, I HATE IT AND I JUST HATE IT.

I finished up writing in my diary and i flopped onto my bed. The silence and the state of being alone comforted me, it was almost soothing to the soul. I was about to get ready for bed since I had a packed day of classes tomorrow, however Cho and Padma coming racing in. They both look at me with joy and excitement, they also had wide smiles from ear to ear. Padma then says, "Raven, do you want to come with us to the First Day of School Party?"

Cho demands with eye of excitement. "This is a party for all the cool people, YOU MUST COME NO MATEER WHAT."

Padma interrupts while putting on a necklace, "It's in the Slytherin Common Room, it is 3rd year to 5th year only but pretty much the whole of third year is going as well as some older kids, it is a good way for you to make friends".

Cho then says, "All the cutest guys will be there, even that boy you said caught your eye earlier and even some of the Gryffindor guys".

Luna then embarrassingl says to Cho, "You just want to see Harry, you both act like fools around one another". Making us all burst out with laughter.

I smiled eagerly and agree to go with them. We all decided to get ready. Cho was doing our hair, Padma doing makeup, Luna picking out our necklaces and earrings and me picking out outfits, vibes were immaculate in that moment. Cho had also turned on the radio and it was playing Whitney Houston's greatest hits. Padma was doing my eyeliner and was lip syncing to How Will I Know. After she did my eyeliner we all slipped into our outfits. Cho and Padma wore tight, short dresses which made them look amazing, Luna wore a 70s disco inspired outfit with gogo boots to match, and i wore a skirt with a off the shoulder top and some boots.

We were already to go but right before we are ready to leave, we hear a knock at the door. We all stand there confused as to who was at the door. I then feel a nudge to go open the door. They push me towards the door, telling me to open it. I take a big stride and open the door. Outside, stood there are the two twins from the carriage.

They both looked at all of us chuckling and one then said, "You Ladies look like your ready for a party". It was Fred that said it, he was also smirking.

That's when the other brother said, "Ohh yeah, we are hear to sneak you lovely ladies into the party and to see the Moonshine girl again, we both terribly missed her presence".

The other girls felt a sense of relief however i was very much the opposite. I was nervous to as why these boys were here to see me.

I then ask the boys nervously, "Why are you two here to see me". They stand next to me, with one by either side of me.

George then says, "Moonshine, don't flatter yourself completely, I'm only being a joker. We are here for all the rumour confirmations only" while his eyes dart upwards and downwards.

i scoffed and said, "Rumours are nothing new, i got a good one i remember . Remember when everyone even the press thought my parents were allies with Voldemort", while laughing my lungs out .

I then look to see shock in everyone's eyes. They were scared at the fact that i was so daring to utter his name. i felt their eyes on me and hated it. I was always under a microscope but with my new friends it felt odd since i never really had friends. I don't think the joke went down well.

I then clasped my hands together and said, "Anyway, enough about me let's go to this stupid party" and walked out of the door.

i turn back to the twins and say, "Are you going to show us the way or not". They both looked at each other and started leading the way. We walked through a strange corridor and went to this large wall. We stand in front of the wall, confused to why we were stood there. That's when a door appears in front of us, bewildering the girls.

We were outside and were ready to go in. I could feel the nervousness that everyone felt but was excited for the fun that awaited behind the door. I couldn't wait
