Nothing, I couldn't feel a single thing. My body was numb and cold even though I was in Alex's arms. The room was in complete chaos but the buzzing in my ears kept me from hearing the said words. My eyes were on the smashed phone in my hands, Maya's phone. The outdated phone she kept for years while she insisted I changed mine every couple of years or so.
