There are tales of goblins and fairies and happily ever after's. Dragons and elves and magical powers but that's not the real world. The real world would hit you like a brick. The real world hit me like an asteroid. The cold, cruel, disgusting world. Just for a second, the world revolved around me but not the way I wanted it to. It started the day I was set to become queen. I wasn't too excited but it was a responsibility. My father had died at war and my mother was driven insane and put into the institution. I had to care for my little sister for the last year or so while they figured out what to do with us. Lucky enough they found me fit to be queen even though I was only 19. I had no husband and no experience running a country so of course, my balls were in my ankles at that point. My nerves were quaking and my heart was beating faster than time was flying. The ceremony was brief and easy to get past. Then there goes the party. The huge ball that took place after the ceremony. My mother told me that our father's ceremony party was the biggest of them all. It seemed like an exaggeration at the time but wow was that party huge. There were princesses and princes from all of the different kingdoms. The party went on for hours on end. Time does fly when you are exhausted at a coronation ball. Without me noticing I stayed up until 4. There was another ceremony the next night so I figured that I might as well head to bed. I took my drowsy sister up to her quarters then I headed toward mine. I was stumbling towards my room before I heard a bump coming from my parents' room. I was too tired to check it out so I kept walking toward my room. As soon as I lay down in my bed I blacked out. No chance to take off my gown or makeup. I woke the next day to a huge headache and no dress or makeup............
