Fallen Angel
by avisynn

All it takes is eleven seconds of you for me to be doomed.

Mother has always warned me about bad boys. She said that your black wardrobe smells like a spell of enchantment—a potion of angst and smirking eyes. And here am I, drunk and intoxicated. She warned me about the scars—the dangerous whispers of your backstories that scarred you for life.

Every second keeps me wanting more. I am curious about how your hair highlights became a part of you that it showed murk strands after its golden hue.

When Mother saw your tattoos, she asked me to stay away from you, but why? Your tattoos spoke to me like tears after a heavy downpour of rain. I cannot stop wanting to wipe all those tears away.

It pierced my heart when you looked at me with your glaring eyes and spoke, "Runaway, before it's too late."

When Mother warned me about bad boys, she knew it was the end of me. The abyss was deep and dark, and there's no way out. She warned me about bad boys, but she sure hell knew it was too late to say.

I mustered the courage to look brave and unwavering. My lips trembled as I said, "No." Forgive me, Mother. Your angel has fallen.
