These stories were written under the restriction that the first line has to be the first thing said to me on Wednesday mornings. Most are from my fiancé; sometimes he planned them to give me a difficult time writing a story, sometimes it was random. I need to revise all of these stories for my portfolio due in mid-May. For the revisions I can move the placement of the first quote if I want, expand stories. . . Basically do anything. Please give any and all feedback! Thank you!

naKimp lives as a human rune. Her people are the last descendants He-ather, the woman of dying blood. Living during the age of Anno Domini was hell. Any human bearing a rune was hunted down and killed. naKimp was kept safe only because her rune was placed upon her heart--living, pulsing--power through her. The people of Anno Domini cursed anyone that was not born of their lineage. Follow naKimp on her journey to save human kind. Time and the AD were her enemies. So what did she do? The enemy of my enemy shall be my brother. This is where she finds love and where he finds redemption. I hope you like my micro story. A quiet, humorous reflection on the simple act of drinking alone on a Monday. The narrator texts a skeptical friend about meeting for a beer, only to be met with disbelief-beer on a Monday is apparently crossing a line. Determined to prove their presence at the bar, the narrator sends increasingly specific photos of their surroundings, but the friend remains unconvinced. Instead of pressing further, the narrator settles into the moment, savoring a pilsner at their own pace. A lighthearted exploration of small rebellions, mundane rituals, and the quiet satisfaction of doing something for no particular reason.
