As the trees were moving faster, a girl named Aadya, was sitting in a car with her family.
"When are we going to be there?" questioned Aadya
"We are here already." said her Mother stated. As they got out of the car, Aadya looked at the campsite they were staying at and thought, 'I have a bad feel about this place, but nothing bad could ever happen.
"Go choose a cabin, Aadya, we'll bring your stuff." yelled Aadyas Father. Aadya ran to the first cabin she saw and went in side. It was old but it was big, and she liked it. Once her parents brought her stuff, she started to unpack. An hour later she had finished, and wanted to explore the campsite. She went to her big bother's cabin to see if he wanted to join her. When she neared the cabin, she saw her brother sitting on the porch.
"Hey David, wanna explore the camp with me?" Aadya asked
"Yeah sure, but we're going to need a map, so we don't get lost." said David. Aadya nodded and turned around to go to her parents cabin, with David in follow. Once they got the map, they set out, in look for the lake. They got to the lake, after many missed turns, and saw a boat that they could use for fishing, and a radio tower on the other end of the lake. They decided to take a swim in the lake, and after a couple of hours, the sun started to set.
"Hey, I think that we should start heading back to the campsite, it looks like the sun is starting to set." David spoke"Yeah we should, dad told me that we should start coming back once the sun starts setting." Aadya spoke. They got out of the water and started their journey back. Once they got there, the sun had gone down, leaving a dark purple sky with a couple of stars. Their parents already made a fire. They ate dinner and went to go to sleep. Aadya got in bed, and closed her eyes. Allowing the darkness embrace her. Shh was completely unaware of the eyes watching her, not even once leaving her.
Aadya woke up in fright, for it was storming. As Aadya got up she heard someone call her name
"Aadya~" it whispered
"Hello?" questioned Aadya
"Aadya~" it spoke louder
"David if thats you, you're not funny." Aadya said lightning came crashing down with a loud 'CRASH' Aadya turned around in fright, completely forgetting about the voice."That sounded way to close for comfort, for me." Aadya had said. Aadya turned around, and saw a black creature with completely red, glowing, and a Cheshire smile.
"AAAHHH" Aadya screamed and tripped, falling backwards and hitting the bed frame. When she looked up, shw didn't see the creature anywhere, she stood up and rubbed her head. She looked around for any evidence that IT was in the room with her. Aadya slipped on her sweatshirt and sneakers, then went outside. Once she got outside, she realized that the sky was pitch black and was filled with stars, the only thing that lit up her path was the moonlight.
Aadya looked around for the path, once she found it, she stared her hike. As Aadya was walking she heard her brother call for her.
"Aadya" yelled 'David'
"David?" Aadya asked loudly
" Aadya, where are you, come to the fire pit." spoke 'David' and Aadya did as she was asked. Though something in herself was yelling at her that 'Its not David, it's the creature we saw!' Aadya ignored the feeling, and continued her journey. Once Aadya got to the fire pit, she saw David crouching down near the fire."DAV-" Aadya yelled but was cut of by a quiet 'Sh' from David
"Quite or IT will hear us" David yelled. When those words came out of his mouth, she instantly knew he was talking about the red eyed, smiling demon. David waved his hand for her to come near him. She went to him fast, but stopped when he made a hand signal for her to slow down. She did, once she got there, she instantly hugged her brother........... oh how she regretted that. When Aadya looked up to her 'brother', she saw the red eyes and Cheshire smile looking down at her, then it turned all black. Aadya woke up in a jolt, she was in her bed once again but the room was different. Her foor opened and the creature was there.
"Ah, you're finally awake. " said the creature, Aadya was so shocked she couldn't move. The smiling demon moved closer to her and that seemed to knock her out of her shock. Aadya got up and ran for the door as fast as she could, just barely missing the smiling demon. Since the door was still open, Aadya ran straight for it. Once past the door frame, she slammed it shut. Aadya started to run in the direction of the lake, remembering the radio tower. She heard the creature behind her, but she kept on running. Aadya made twist and turns to get the creature off her tail. After a couple minutes Aadya didn't hear the monster behind her, so she stopped. She finally looked around at her surrounding, relieved to see the lake isn't so far away. Aadya also noticed a shed. She went into it and saw some gas canisters, a flashlight, and a rusty old key. Aadya went over and grabbed the flashlight, to see if it turned on, it didn't. Then Aadya went over to the rusty key and saw a label under it saying "Radio tower; use if there is danger ". Aadya grabbed the key and stuffed it into her pocket. Lastly Aadya went to the ags canisters, they all were labeled for different things. She grabbed the one for the boat, which felt like she was carrying a bag of bricks. Aadya moved ever so carefully so she doesn't drop it, because dropping it might tell the creature where she is. Once Aadya made it outside, she swiftly and quietly made it to the boat. Aadya filled the boat up, but remember her family. Aadya was having a hard time on what she should do, go back for her family or go to the tower. She put the gas canister once she smelt burning wood. Aadya ran towards the campsite. Once she got there, she only saw bright red and orange flames dancing on what used to the campsite. Standing in front of her was the demon. It turned its head sideways to look back at her, its red eyes staring though her soul, and its Cheshire smile holding the reflection of the flames. Aadya turned around and ran straight for the boat. She got there and started the boat, it stalled for a second then it started to move. Aadya whooped in happiness . She turned around to see the smiling demon just get there. She looked forward to see she made it to the tower. Aadya got out of the boat, but before she got to the door, black like tentacles rapped around her, then it faded to black. A couple of minutes later she woke up with her family around her
"Mom?" Aadya questioned
"Aadya? Aadya! You're finally awake!" Her mother said in pure joy and confusion. Her whole family looked at her and hugged her as fast as lightning. Once they let go of her, they explained that was screaming in her sleep and wouldn't wake up when they tried to wake her up. Aadya asked them to leave, they did, but not with a little bit of questions.
"So.... it was all a dream?" questioned Aadya
".........Yeah, provably.... nothing like that could ever happen." Aadya said. She heard her father call her to come outside.
Aadya yelled,
"Coming!" As she left the cabin, she didn't notice the Cheshire smile and red, glowing eyes, looking, watching her as she left. Because not everything is not always FAKE.__________________ ׂׂૢ་༘࿐
