"come on kid, just let me set you up with her!" morgan protested once again, sitting down on spencer's desk. he was being very persistent about a girl names Ivy Johnson, who apparently was 'just spencer's type' and 'was very interested in him'. even if spencer was available, he knew the type of women morgan meant, and that was not his type at all. no matter how much he said spence would love her.

"no thanks."

emily, who knew exactly what spencer's predicament was, as he knew of her girlfriend too, butted in at the refusal. "why not, reid? women dig doctors!" her teasing tone and smirk gave away exactly what she was doing. and spencer squinted at her accusingly, not liking how this was playing out. all he wanted to do was file his paperwork and then go home where he could vent his problems away to his boyfriend.

"they do! smart is sexy, pretty boy, take it from me."

"listen, i-"

"are you guys bothering the poor kid about a date again?" agent rossi had cut off spencer, who was very relieved he didn't have to reply back. rossi, although sometimes went with the teasing, knew when to stop. morgan scoffed amusingly and looked down. "i'll take that as a yes, then. but reid, why don't you agree? not be be a pesk like these two!" spencer inwardly groaned. of course rossi butted in, too!

slowly, one by one, each team member noticed the group and gathered around. hotch tried to stop the questions, but the reat of the team had none of it. they kept bugging in themselves and giving dating advice, offering women's numbers, etc. and spencer was getting absolutely frustrated. not only were they surrounding him, but they were holding him up from work. which meant spence would be late for date night again.
"come on, babes, just take the number, why won't you just-"

"i have a boyfriend, that's why!" spencer suddenly snapped, throwing his hands out in anger. he was so done with everything, with the pestering, the assuming he was straight, keeping his relationship quiet, that it just blew. he probably would have walked away from the situation if it wasn't for the whole team surrounding him. but, instead, now they fucking knew!

"kid, i-"

"i know." reid rubbed his face exasperatedly, swiveled his chair towards the team. everyone was struck with shock and kept quiet. except for emily, who look more regretful than shocked. she felt bad he had to admit it, but if anything, it took a weight off spence's shoulders. this was definitely not how he wanted to come out, but it was memorable at least.

"you.. have a boyfriend?" garcia asked timidly, not wanting to stress him out anymore. spencer nodded, a small smile on his face as he thought about his boyfriend. his boyfriend and his beautiful smile. his warm hugs. his soft kisses. his gorgeous laugh. everything about him was absolutely amazing and just thinking about bragging about his boyfriend made spence ecstatic.

"i do."

everyone noticed how he brightened up just a bit more since the outburst, and they relaxed. as long as he was happy with it, they were happy for him. "what's the lucky guy's name?" morgan questioned, mirroring his friend's smile.

"his name is (y/n). and he is... the love of my life."
