Clara's pov:

Being sent by the agency to handle tough assignment like this is my favorite. The guys always thought I slept with the boss to get chosen for tough assignment but they are wrong. I had worked my butt off to get here and I wasn't going to let a stupid rumor destroy that. I read the document the agency gave me about my next mission. All I had to do was get the document from a guy named Devin well that's going to be easy. I entered Devin enterprises and headed to the reception area.

" Hello, my name is Clara and I am here for the secretary job." The receptionist was busily typing. She didn't even look at me.

"Your name, ... She said still typing.

"Clara Peterson".

"Go to the last floor and ask for Mr Devin's office. Here is your card, you can go now".

I waited for the elevator to come down. When it finally came I entered and pressed the button to the last floor. I reached the last floor and got out. I asked one of the people standing together. They showed me his office and went back to what they were doing. I knocked on the door and hearing a familiar voice telling me to come in. I opened the door to see my ex fiance typing rapidly on his laptop. I knew that that name sounded familiar. Shit I should have looked him up. He raised his head to look at me and by the expression on his face I could tell he recognized me.

"Hi, Clara nice to meet you. I never thought I will actually find you here. Well what bare you doing here if I may ask because the last time we met you were running away from the alter."

"I don't have to explain myself to you. I came here because I got a job to be your secretary so let's get this over with."

"Hahaha after all these years you still haven't lost your sassiness well you already know that you start work right away and look for guy named Evan he will show you your office and I will be receiving a special guest m. Her name is Zara let her in right away, got that. You can now go."

Wow that's not what I expected u thought he would have asked me the reason why I let him at the alter. I guess he had moved on. The guy Evan showed me my office and I started working. Hours later , I was to busy to realize that someone was trying to get my attention.

"Hey ,hey , hello is she deaf. Devin really have weird people working with him."

"Sorry madam I was got up with something. Can I help you." I asked the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life.

"Yes, my name is Zara and I am here to see Devin."

"Yes, Miss Zara you can go in now. He has been waiting for you."

The woman entered the room and closed the door behind her. I wonder if she is Devin's girlfriend. Well that's explain his attitude towards me. If she really is Devin's girlfriend maybe I could use her to get the document. All I have to do is befriend that stupid woman. Well this work is easier than I thought.
