Should've known better.\\Draco Malfoy

First day of classes

Omg I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while! I'm surprised people still read this, I wish more would! But here is this quick chapter! School has got me so busy so that's why I haven't posted anything in a while!

Scarlett's pov
I do my morning routine and do my makeup how I always do, mascara, a little foundation, and some winged eyeliner. I put my robes on along with my tie, and I head out of my dorm. I still can't get over how pretty it is in here! I walk into the main part of the common room and see Draco and his friends, "look boys, it's the Slytherin Mud-Blood!" They all laughed at his lame attempt at a joke, "oh look it's the self-centered asshole- oops I meant Draco." I smirked, "it's Malfoy to you." I walked away and eventually found my way to the dining hall.

I feel so awkward not talking to people, then again I also feel awkward while talking to people. I eat my food I'm silence when someone sits next to me. "Hi, I'm Blaise! I heard you're new here?" Blaise is pretty hot, wow. "Yeah I just transferred here from my old school!" He fills his plat with pancakes and eggs, "oh cool! What school did you transfer from?" I sighed, yeah this is where he stops talking to me, I tell him my school. "Oh is that a Muggle school or is it some magical school I haven't heard about?" He chuckled lightly while stuffing his face, "it's a Muggle school.." I say hesitantly and slowly look at him. "Oh so you are a Muggle born? That's cool, we've never had a muggle born in the Slytherin house!" I'm surprised and before I can say something Malfoy comes up and starts talking to Blaise, wait this is so weird he didn't care and he's friends with Malfoy?

Blaise looks at me, "sorry I have to go but we can talk later or in class, bye!" He and Malfoy walk off and of course Malfoy looks back and glares at me, how typical. I walk into what I believe is potions class. the sitting is kind of weird, to a table is placed three students. "Good morning, today we have a new student. Introduce yourself." The teacher says, "uh, hi! My names Scarlett Taylor" everyone just stares with blank expressions, "Miss Taylor sit with Mr Malfoy and Mr Zabini." I nod and sit in between Blaise and Malfoy, why him. "Hey Scarlett!" I look over at Blaise and smile at him. At the end we have some time to talk to friends, well in my case Blaise. "So how are you liking hogwarts so far?" Blaise questions as I look over at Malfoy to see the girl I share a room with sitting on his lap, oh gosh how could she like him?

"It's not bad so far!" I look back at Blaise, "that's good! At dinner want to sit together?" How is he friends with someone like Malfoy and is this nice? I guess it's nice to have someone nice to talk to for a change! "Sure! Thanks I didn't want to look like a loner" he laughs and begins packing up his stuff, "see you later Scarlett!" He gave me a quick smile and leaves with Malfoy and Pansy.
~later at dinner~
Draco's POV
Scarlett walks into the dining hall and sits with Blaise, honestly how does Blaise put up with her. I can't believe she's a Muggle born, it's a shame because she's really pretty if she wasn't a Mud-Blood of course. I get my food as Pansy sits next to me. "Heyy Draco! I missed you!" She wraps her arms around me, this girl can be so annoying but she is a good fuck so I guess I'll keep her around. I give her a fake smile and softly push her away, "I can't believe he sits with her." She looks to where I'm looking and laughs. "Gosh that's so embarrassing to be seen sitting next to her!" I mean she's not wrong there.

Scarlett's POV
Me and Blaise are talking about the classes and he's telling me how people are around here, "and then there Luna Lovegood she's really nice, I mean from what I've noticed I've only had a couple small conversations with her! She's the one you want to be friends with!" She does seem nice from what Blaise has told me! "What about you?" He looks at me confused, "what about me?" I pick at my spaghetti, "it's just that you are friends with Malfoy and you still talk to me, why?" I may have sounded a bit too harsh but I had to ask, I mean from what I seen all of Malfoys friends are rude just like him but Blaise isn't. "I like talking to you I guess, I don't know but I don't care about Blood-type like Draco does." I'm about to reply when Cedric appears next to me. "Hey, sorry I haven't got a chance to talk to you today!" I guess I did kind of miss Cedric! "Oh no it's fine! Blaise has been keeping me company!" Cedric looks over to Blaise and gives him a friendly smile, "hey Blaise! We haven't talked in forever, how have you been?" They have there own conversation as I eat.

After dinner I head to my dorm exhausted from today, I would say today was a good first actual day! I have two great friends already, Blaise and Cedric. I get ready and lay in my bed, I thought I wouldn't have any friends and would be lonely all day long! Today has been great, well except for Malfoy being annoying. I fall asleep excited for tomorrow.
