Students from Inarizaki High was dismissed for the day of school, the volleyball club though, had practice. Y/n was heading to the school gates after helping one of her friends from the basketball club.

She had walked passed the gym where the volleyball club were practicing and saw they were having a small 3v3 match. The girl stood by the entrance, watching the ball getting passes over the net and noticed Kita was in a corner of the gym setting a ball to the wall and catching it as it bounced back to him.

'Why is he practicing alone?' Y/n thought, seeing as the others were practicing together but he wasn't.

Feeling like someone was watching, Kita looked at where Y/n was stood and saw her. She gave him a smile and waved, those little actions of hers made his heart feel fuzzy for some reason. He returned the smile and walked over to her.

"What're you doing here?" he asked as he held the ball on his side under his arm.

"Was just passing by," Y/n explained. "Why aren't you practicing with the others and being all alone in a corner?" she asked, with a sheepish smile.

"I don't really join in practices or even any games," he exclaimed. Y/n simply nodded.

"You, uh.. wanna go home together? I mean after you finished practice of course, but if you don't wanna it's okay, I understand," Y/n rambled.

Kita chuckled, "Sure, can you wait?" he asked, making sure she was okay with it.

"Of course!" she grinned. I'll be back here after you finish, don't worry," she said and then waved to him, going back to where the girls basketball gym was.

Kita watched as she walked away until Aran called for him. This got his attention as Kita turned around to face his friend.

"Was that the girl who you always talked to in class?" Aran asked, looking the way where Kita was looking.

The dual haired boy nodded. "Yeah," he replied shortly.

A thought came into Aran's mind and he smirked. "Do you ever just suspect her as the on who sent you those love notes?" he asked.

Kita looked at Aran questionably. "Why would it be her?"

"Well, she's a friend right?" Kita nodded.

"Does she knows about the love notes?" again, Kita nodded.

"Does she comes to school earlier than you? That is if  you got any notes in the morning," Kita thought about it for a second and she does comes to school earlier than him.

"I don't think it's her who left those notes," Kita exclaimed, walking back into the gym.

Aran jogged to get next to him. "Think about it, it's probably her, you know?" he said and left as Atsumu was calling for him.

Practice was over, Kita went to the locker rooms to grab his stuffs and went back to gym entrance. There, he saw Y/n standing with her on her phone, scrolling through something.

He walked over to her and said hello. "Let's go," he said to her with a small smile.

Y/n simply nodded and they started their way back home.

On their way back, Y/n asked, "Kita-kun, why don't you join in practice more often?"

Kita looked at her for the sudden question but answered anyway. "I'm not interested," he simply said.

"Are you sure?" she smiled at him softly, "I believe you can do more than just be the captain for the team," she exclaimed.

"You're great in a lot of things. You're smart, reliable, nice and can be strict about some things, but all in all, I know that you're teammates would like to see you play in a game or two too since you don't play much in games," Y/n explained. "Sorry, I ramble a lot," she apologized.

"No, it's okay," Kita smiled. His heart warmed at those words she said about him and he also knew that his teammates would also like to see him play.

"Well, I have to go this way.. See you tomorrow, Kita-kun!" Y/n said, smiling to him with a wave.

Kita waved back and had a small smile on his lips.

The next day came unexpectedly quick and as Kita waltz into his classroom, a blue heart shaped sticky note was on his desk.

I believe that you can do it!

It said.

He's guessing that this time it's about the person believing in him.
