RECAP:-
...I head out of the class in search of the college canteen and took an elevator to the first floor just because I was too lazy to walk down the staircase as my hunger was killing me and then again I saw that blue-eyed alien guy standing on the end of the aisle, but wait! who is he with? She looks familiar! Is it the same girl who annoyed me back in class? Yes, it's her! but why are they holding hands? Are they going out? No! that can't be..... hold on! why am I worried? I don't even know him I should just head to the canteen before this hunger makes me look crazy.
CONTINUED:-
I found the canteen and went straight to the counter, ordered my favourite double cheese hamburger and sat on the vacant seat in the middle of the hall, I was about to grab the first bite when I stopped on a girl's voice_
"Can I sit here?" asked the same girl I saw back in the aisle with the alien guy.
"That's college's property so u can" I said ignoring her and grabbed a big bite of my hamburger.
"You seem to like hamburgers, right?" she asked with a smile.
"Yes, I do! especially the double layered cheese hamburger, the taste is so fascinating that it makes me feel like I'm on the seventh sky where it's so clean and pure with no worries, where the angels rest and..." I stopped in the middle when I saw her smiling and made me feel like I'm exaggerating things like a weirdo " Yes! I like hamburgers" I said to close the topic all at once.
" So you are not a weirdo afterall" she said smiling.
"Pardon?" I asked in a shock because her response was exactly opposite of what I thought " Yes, I'm not! But what made you think like that at the first place?"
"You shooed me away in the classroom like a total weirdo so I thought u are just another rich chick who doesn't like interacting with us normal kids" she explained.
"I'll buy the latter part because yes I don't like interacting with kids or humans or anyone" I tried hard to not sound sadistic but..
"I know how we humans can be toxic sometimes but it's not right to measure everyone with the same scale buddy" she said with a smile on her face.
"huh?" I responded ambiguously as her response was so sudden.
"Umm! just like we can't eat every fish in the ocean, we eat the one's that are not poisonous or could harm us instead we go for a better and healthy one, just like that we should look for better person and not the ones who can eat our mental peace! It's not easy but it's not impossible as well" she explained and stopped for my response.
"That's a strange example but thanx, also I don't like eating fish" I responded to her and grabbed the last piece of my hamburger.
"hahahahahaha the joke with a straight face sounds much more funnier, I didn't know you had humour in you haha" she laughed as I nearly choked on my hamburger, I was about to explain myself but then I noticed a guy walking towards us..
shit! it's him, I should yeet or it'll be awkward for both of us.
"Hey! I need to go, something urgent came up, bye!" I said as soon as I got up in a hurry to leave.
"Wait let's meet again also what's your name?" she asked.
"Yeah! and Clare" I responded and dashed out of her sight.
Phew! that was close. But wait, why am I running away? I don't even know them, I don't know what's so wrong with me today let's just go home and play games until I'm dead tired.
[Next Morning]
I hope I don't run into that girl again.
"Hey Clare!"
Well, Speak of the devil!
"Yes!" I tried to fake smile but I failed.
"I have something to ask, can we meet after college"? she asked.
"okay! see you at 2 in the canteen" I said.
yes!!! I can't wait to eat that super delicious hamburger again.
[After college]
"Do you not like the hamburger today?" she asked in a sweet tone as always.
"No! it's good, delicious as always haha" I replied with a faint smile.
why does she have to bring this alien guy with her, I thought it was just us *crying internally*
"So what's there to ask from me?" I said.
"oh yes! we wanted to ask whether you've joined any club?" she questioned.
"Club? what for?" I asked knitting my eyebrows.
"We newbies have to join clubs as per our choice, it's part of the college rules." she explained.
"I didn't know that so no, I haven't joined any club yet" I said.
"Do you wanna join our club then?" she asked with those puppy eyes of hers.
She's acting cute but how do I explain I'm in my own club called 'no human zone'.
"Umm! can I not be a part of any club? is there any exception?" I tried to sound as clear as I could.
"Well that means you gonna loose 20 marks for next 3 years in each semester, no matter how hard you try to study" she said with a smirk.
Ahhh what is this now!! I must ask for some time to think or should I say yes, I'm so confused!
"you can take your time, think about it!" she advised as she saw me confused.
"No, I'll do it! But what's your club about?" I asked.
"It's a programming club" she said.
"Well then, it's fine with me! You are lucky I said yes because I'm pro at programming " I said proudly.
"Thanks for joining." said the alien guy.
woah I totally forgot he's here too
"y_you are welcome" I said stammering.
what is wrong with me!
"Oh Yes we haven't introduced ourselves yet right? I'm sorry I was totally lost so, Hi again Clare, I'm Astrid and he's Banden my boyfriend, Nice to meet you" she said with that smile of hers again.
'Boyfriend!!!!!!!!!??'
