The base was charging like a full steam train. This was going to be the fight of the century that no likes this world has ever seen, but this was either going to be a defeat or a victory which I wasn't certain. I secretly hoped the princess would come forward and hand over the title to the throne, those chances of that were near a complete 0 but my hope was still there I didn't want to lose one soldier tonight would die 10 deaths before losing a soldier there was nothing worst the losing a man on a battlefield. There will never be anything more painful than the fate of death and having to live with that on your hands for you blame yourself every day from there for the guilt of it still lingers, I still feel the sorrow when I lost my lieutenant the day I lead my team into a search and report mission, it was an ambush we were surrounded I warned her not to shoot but it was too late, she died right in my arms. My guilt and pain remain to this day. I felt memory well up in me and tears fill my eyes. This is not the time for that I needed to be focused not dwelling on past memories. Not when war was upon us and the cloud of death looming over us. Time is now the matter if the situation, everyone was soon in place now it was the waiting game this was going to take a while. This will be the deciding point for my soldier, it was going to be a heafty price to pay but they were willing to pay it with their lives.
