2046–the manned space station Estrella is launched, a course charted for the outer reaches of the galaxy. Its mission: to explore, research, and work to further humanity's future in the stars. Crew members aboard the Estrella were chosen carefully for their scientific abilities, skill with spacecraft, and physical ability from all over the world.
ALL is well aboard the Estrella for the first months of its mission: arrival and lab setup went smoothly, and the crew set about their work. It seems, to the crew, that this mission will be a success, and humanity's knowledge and reach can only expand from here.
BUT not everyone aboard the Estrella agrees. There is an imposter among the crew, someone who wishes to stop the spread of earth and the understanding of science—or who simply looses control in the vast expanse of space. Their reasons are their own, but the consequences are very, very visible.
DEATH begins to spread throughout the station like a disease, and meeting after meeting after meeting can't determine who is the culprit. Some of the crew worries they've discovered something they shouldn't, while others think this is accidental—but the true killer hides in the shadows, bloody knife dripping as they watch their next victim.

RULES 1. Be nice! If I find any rudeness or animosity in my book, your character will be removed. 2. Full out the form completely! I need all the information I ask for, so please don't skip any sections unless noted! 3. Be detailed! I will be unlikely to accept your OC if the personality and backstory sections are les than 5 sentences. So give me all the details you can! 4. Be diverse! I want to see characters of all genders, races, sexualities, background, etc. Don't be afraid to make them unique! 5. Each character fills a role on board the Estrella. These roles are as follows: captain/mission leader, pilot/navigator (filled), reactor technicians, communications officers, biologists, astronomers, chemists, geologists, botanists, astro-cartographers, station upkeep (electrician, cleaner, cook, etc), and doctors. Each character must have a role on the station. 6. I will be choosing the impostor randomly, by putting the names of every chosen character into a random generator. Therefore, every form must include a reason why a character may begin killing the crew. There are many possible reasons, so feel free to get creative! 7. On that note, this applyfic is highly interactive! After every death, I will be messaging cast members to ask them to vote on who they think the imposter is, like in the video game, and I need to be able to count on my cast to respond in a timely manner. Similarly, I may ask the imposter to tell me who they wish to kill next. If you don't think you can do this, please don't apply. 8. There is no fixed number of cast members. If I have a large cast, I may choose more than one imposter. Keep your imposter status secret! 9. All characters and face claims should be 21+. No exceptions, as this story focuses on a research team with skill and experience. 10. The password is your favorite scifi movie, tv show, or book. 11. Be sure to tag people! I want to have every role filled, so tag your friends! 12. You can apply as many times as you want! This increases your chances of getting chosen, though I cannot guarantee I'll accept more than one of your character. 13. Ask me if you have any questions! I'd be happy to answer them.
