Another day being left alone in the dark dusty closet. All you just wanted is to be played by Marcella. You have been left in the closet for a couple of days. You felt quite sad being ignored and neglected. Finally getting tired of being in a dark closet you came out. When you came out it was night time, which means that Marcella is asleep in her room. It was dark, but the moon was shining bright tonight, so you could see everything clearly. When you walked out you first saw everyone in their position where they were left. You saw Susie Pincushion sitting right next to the mini piano and on top of the piano was Topsy. Right beside Susie Pincushion was Barney Beanbag, Grandpa, the sock, and The Two Twin Pennies. Right by the piano is a small rocking chair that was empty where usually Raggedy Ann sits. How odd you thought to yourself. Where could she be? While you were looking for her you came across a big mirror. "Wow" you whispered in the darkness, you haven't seen your reflection in a couple of months so of course you were astonished by how you looked. You looked like a clown! That's exactly what you were, a doll clown. You were spinning around slowly seeing your figure. After looking at yourself for a while you heard a noise somewhere. You looked around and no one was there. Then you saw a shadow near the window. Nobody goes there for a reason, but you climbed on one of the curtains and made it to the top of the window sill. You looked around and no one was there. "Oh it's just you" whispered Raggedy Ann in relief. She was hiding on the opposite curtain you just climbed on. Watching her appear out behind the curtain the moonlight was bright so you can see her clearly. Her dress draped down on her body, to be honest you thought she looked beautiful in the moonlight. "What are you doing up on the window sill?" You asked. She hesitated to answer for a second, but then she answered, "I just like to look at the stars on a full moon sometimes when I feel lonely, it makes me feel better " she said while looking at the stars. How does she feel lonely if she's always with Marcella? You thought to yourself. "Wait, you feel lonely? How, I don't understand you get played with all the time and I... don't" Surprised of my reaction she looked away from my view and kept looking at the stars. "Sometimes everyone gets lonely once in a while, I just meant that I feel lonely right now" Aggravated, you looked away and crossed your arms. "Oh no, please don't get angry" said Ann in a soft voice. You loved her voice, she always had a comforting voice to you. Noticing that she was now next to you she was sitting on the edge of the window sill. She tapped the spot right beside her for you to sit by her. You sighed and sat right beside her in a flopping way as if you were being thrown on the ground. You looked around and you never realized how big the playroom really was."It's really big isn't it" said Ann. "...Yeah it sure is" you said solemnly. "I know that Marcella doesn't play with you that much and it must be hard being ignored for several days" said Ann. "Yeah...it is'' you said back while trying to hold back a tear. You felt a warm soft touch and you realized that Ann was hugging you, rubbing her hand in circular motions on your back to sooth your frustrations and loneliness. "It's ok, let it all out, you'll never be alone again" she said in a calm and collective voice. Her voice was the only thing you heard at this moment. You finally hugged her back and embraced her warm hug. Tears fell down your cheek and onto Ann's shoulder. "It's all alright now," she said. After crying for a few more minutes you felt relieved. You felt like all the things you had in your head were all gone now. "Thanks, I feel alot better," you said while still sniffing. "I'm here for you when you feel lonely and don't forget that" Ann said while walking you back to the closet. You waved goodbye for her to return to her small rocking chair. After that you felt quite relieved that you got that off your shoulder. The next morning Marcella was in the playroom looking around for something. "That weird, who is she looking for?" You thought. Then she looked straight at the closet you're in. You frozen back in place and you heard her loud footsteps near the closet. She swung open the closet and said in a loud and happy face "There you are, I've been looking everywhere for you!" She grabbed you carefully and ran down stairs. Before you left the playroom you saw a glance at Raggedy Ann and she smiled. You smiled back and was ready for a day with Marcella.

Note: Being lonely and alone are totally different things. Loneliness is rather a state of mind, so it's quite normal to feel so even when you're surrounded by a lot of people. You might be feeling lonely because you either feel out of place around these people or feel like you're not being understood by them.
