Chapter 5 (Season 1 Episode 5)

A/n btw the titles of the chapters might not match up since the first episode of the tv show didn't have any of the other characters that were stuck at the store until the very end and it's just glenn.

The doors flew open shining a bright white light. We moved fast towards the doors keeping out guns up.

When we got inside a man came out of the corner with a shotgun. "Anybody infected?"

"One of our group was, he didn't make it" Rick explained putting his arm up keeping everyone back.

The blood from my knuckles started dripping onto the floor as I kept my bat in my hand.

"Why are you here what do you want?"

"A Chance" I spoke up walking forwards.

"That's asking an awful lot these days"

"I know" I inches forward but Daryl grabbed my arm before I could get any farther.

"You all submit a blood test that's the price of admission"

"We can do that" answered Rick

"You got stuff to bring in, you do it now. Once this door closes, it stays closed."

The door shut. The man started talking I didn't pay close attention I was looking around the place.

We got into an elevator and started going down. Elevators make me uneasy not because I'm claustrophobic but if one of us turn zombie or something there's no way out.

I kept my gaze to the ground and only picking up a few words the Dr was saying about him being the only one left and a talking computer.

While getting our test done he lead us to a dinning table with a kitchen next to it.

Everyone was drinking and laughing. I had one too many drinks and started getting dizzy. Carl had a drink and was disgusted.

We all laughed Daryl was testing Glenn to see how much he could drink.

"So when are you gonna tell us what happened here doc?" Shane asked. Man this guy is such a buzz kill. I spaced out of there little argument and drank some more.

Time skip:

Jenner lead us down a hallway talking about the rules and different rooms that were there.

"Go easy on the hot water" that caught my attention.

I grinned so much it made my cheeks hurt.

Daryl and my room were right next to each other. I jumped in the shower and drank some more while listening to music I can't believe they have records here.

Man I haven't felt this clean since before the apocalypse.

I put throw on some clean clothes and walk out I heard him talk about a room with stuff like games and books stuff like that. As I walked out I saw Daryl in his room with nothing but a towel on.

"Wow" I laughed leaning up against the door frame. Daryl turned around real quick and rolled his eyes at me with a scoff. "Stop" i drank the rest of the alcohol out if the bottle in my hand and threw it away in the trashcan in his room.

"Imma go to the game room thing and get another drink" I turned around and took a few steps away from the door.

"Yer gotta get you knuckles checked out and wrap em" I looked down. My knuckles were still bleeding just the dry blood was stopping the fresh blood from leaking out.

"Thanks see ya" I waved and walked over to the game room.

I open the door slightly and see a drunk Shane forcing himself onto Lori. She scratched his neck sending him spiraling back.
