A loud groan erupted from across the common room, catching ' attention. His eyes darted up from his parchment to look up, Avery's head was buried in her hands. Her eyes peered over her fingers and she looked down at a pile of textbooks scattered in front of her, "Ugh... fuck me."
Kyle knew good and well that the girl was talking to no one in particular (well more accurately herself). She probably hadn't even noticed his presence in the common room. It was a rare day that it was practically empty in the room (except the two). Still, it was impossible for Kyle to let the outburst of frustration go. "You want me to fuck you? Hard or soft? Fast or slow? Just tell me, love, I'll do whatever you ask of me."
She looked up at her classmate across the room. She looked completely unamused. Avery of course knew Kyle. They were housemates and in the same year, it seemed logical that they were aware of each other and even had quite a few conversations. Still, she didn't know if she found him a good enough companion to enjoy his teasing while she suffered. It was also common knowledge that kyle was obsessed with Lola. He talked a big game, but he probably wouldn't know what to do if someone took him up on his jokes. "Hard and fast."
Kyle knew she was joking. She had to be because obviously, she was. However, her face looked dead serious. Somehow, he knew she was just calling him out on his bullshit... but something didn't sit right with him about just backing down.
Avery could see the wheels turning in his head. Finally finding a bit of amusement in the situation, she continued to tease him, "I thought I said fast, Scot?"
If Avery hadn't known that it was impossible to teleport in her collage, she would've assumed that he'd just teleport onto the couch she was sitting on. His face was only inches away from hers, leaning closer almost like he was challenging her, "Not every patient are we love?"
Avery felt her eyes involuntarily roll to the back of her head. Perhaps if she hadn't been dreading her continued studies of charms she would've been more apt to just let him out of what he started, knowing he was just trying to prolong the inevitable. supposed if she (along with everyone else in the world) hadn't known that Kyle fancied Lola, then her ego would've taken a hit. Still, it wasn't like she was directly pursuing him, obviously, she was just trying to teach him a lesson about minding his own business. "Just tell me, love, I'll do whatever you ask. Don't offer Kyle's if you're not capable of delivering."
Whether it was his pride or his hormones, or perhaps a bit of both, James grabbed hold of her face and pulled her into a hard kiss. Avery was a bit shocked that he had actually followed through, but now that his lips were against hers, the ball was back in her court and she'd be damned if she'd be the one to back down now. Her eyelids fluttered closed and she grabbed hold of the front of his robes pulling him on top of her whenever she fell backward onto the cushions of the couch.
Kyle Scot felt like he was caught in a whirlwind. Only a few minutes ago he was using a clever joke that he always used when presented with the opportunity... now, if he played his cards right he might have a chance to actually follow through. Christ, Sam would never believe this (James halfway didn't). He steadied himself by grabbing hold of the back of the couch and the cushion beside her head, and once he had his balance one hand drifted to her hip. Kyle had almost completely forgotten where they were when he heard someone clear their throat.
"I hate to interrupt, but what the hell?" Sirius' voice, made James shoot up and pull himself into a sitting position. It was an automatic response, though he wasn't sure why.
Avery propped herself up on the back of her elbows and laughed at his appearance. Glasses slightly askew and their lips were swollen (she doubted she was in much of a position to judge).
"Complained all day about me getting detention. Gotta work on the map later, I'll have to do all this myself! Working hard I see?" Sams's impression of Kyle made Avery laugh more, though Kyle didn't seem nearly as amused being interrupted.
"Not nearly hard enough." She teased, earning a laugh from Sam and a "hmph" from Kyle.
"We'll continue this later."
