Today the entire pack came over. There were lots and lots of kids- and other pack members too! There were a few friends of Eli-Bear's also, but I can't name any of them.

So far I can name Aunt Zoya, Aunt Diana, Mia, Aunt Maya, and Uncle Aden.

There's a LOT more people than that, but I can't name them.

I know there's one lady next to me, Lizzy calls her Grandma. Maybe that's her name? But there's another called Grandma too, and I can't figure out who's supposed to be with Grandpa. Either way, the one next to me is assumed to be Grandma for the time being.

Anyway, I'm in Lizzy's lap while Lizzy talks to Grandma. Grandma's telling a story about the time Lizzy's Papa tried to jump out a window and ended up breaking his finger. Not bad, but the idea was to convince Lizzy not to go doing it.

Lizzy was the only one not sitting and braiding hair with the rest of the girls. All the boys had gone with Noah to play video games. Lizzy was the only pup staying with the adults. I don't know why, but she is.

Eventually all the kids came downstairs and hid with us, all the family crowded in one room.

Eli-Bear came home late again, as he had been lately with his new job. Kitten was waiting in the dining room for him, as he'd also been doing, and all the family was waiting in the living room. From what I understand.. when they turn the lights on, everyone will yell 'Surprise'. It's gonna be really loud-

"I'm so sorry Love- I promise I try to get home sooner-"

"It's alright, don't apologize. We stay up late tonight anyway."

"Right- I forgot. Are the kids up then?"

"Mhm! They're in the living room watching the TV."

"It's off-"

"Hm?"

"The TV- it's off."

"Oh- uh- kids?" Max took the moment to run into the living room and hide with us.

After a few minutes, Eli followed. "Max..?"

He turned on the light and everyone stood up, yelling "Surprise!"

"Kitten-" Eli set down his bag and looked around to all the people.

"You never want anything for your birthday, you just want to watch us all be excited for the new year- you just wanna spend time with the people you love, so that's what I did. All the people- all the people that could make it at least. Happy Birthday Eli-Bear."

Eli-Bear smiled and hugged Kitten. "This is perfect."

Everyone wished Eli-Bear a happy birthday and ate cake as we watched the big sparkly ball fall on the TV. Once it dropped everyone got all excited, cheering and smiling, all the couples kissing, it was like every other year, but everyone was here with us.

And it was amazing.

"Happy New Year Lolo!" Lizzy said, picking me up and holding me close to her.

I licked her face and she smiled.

I love my pack, I love all of them, but most of all, I love my people. Eli-Bear, Kitten, Noah, Bailey, and Lizzy.
