Lyrae went to the back of the garden and just stayed there, crying. Still thinking if she should just leave or not. Her head is saying yes but her heart says no.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes after a few minutes of crying. She heard footsteps and turned to see Jaxon.
She closed her eyes and sighed as she turned away from him. "Lyrae." He softly called her.
He slowly walked towards her and sat beside her. They were silent for a few seconds before Jaxon sighed. "I'm sorry. I should have talked to you."
"I shouldn't have believed Lisa right away. I shouldn't have kissed her back in front of you. I'm sorry Rae." Jaxon sighed.
Lyrae was silent, just staring down on the ground. "Lyrae." He softly called her and reached for her hand. She closed her eyes and sighed. "I'm sorry." He kissed her hands.
"Please don't leave. Give me another chance." He mumbled on her hand.
"Why did you give me a rose?" Lyrae whispered. "You should have just sent me home."
Jaxon moved closer to her and squeezed her hand. "Because I like you Rae."
Lyrae laughed sarcastically, "You have a great way of showing it."
Jaxon sighed and rested his forehead on her shoulder. "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry."
"Did you kiss her on that Love Potion date or whatever?" Lyrae asked.
Jaxon froze for a second and sighed. He lifted his head and looked at Lyrae who also looked at him. "I'm sorry." He whispered.
Lyrae smiled bitterly, "How can I trust you again Jaxon?" She looked away from him. "How?"
Jaxon gulped and squeezed her hand, "Let me make it up to you. Please." He sighed, "I know I fucked up since day one but I genuinely see a future with you."
Lyrae took a deep breath and looked to the side and stopped her tears from falling. "To be honest, my head is telling me to just go home." She looked at him and saw tears in his eyes as well. She sighed and a tear escaped her eyes, "But my heart is telling me to stay."
Jaxon wiped her tears away. He closed his eyes and rested his forehead on hers. Lyrae bit her lips and closed her eyes as well.
They stayed like that for a few seconds before Lyrae pulled away. Jaxon opened his eyes and met hers. Lyrae gulped and sighed, "I'll stay." She whispered.
Jaxon sighed in relief and hugged her tight. "Thank you." He kissed her forehead, "Thank you Rae."
"I'll make it up to you. I promise." Jaxon said, "I'll never break my promise to you and I'll be honest with you no matter what." He hugged her tight again. "Thank you and I'm really sorry."
They stayed like that for a few more seconds before Lyrae pulled away and stood up. "I better go back inside now."
Jaxon nodded and stood up. He kissed Lyrae's forehead and caressed her cheeks. "Good night Rae. Rest well."
Lyrae smiled and nodded at him. "You too." She whispered.

"I was really hurt." Lyrae said the next morning when she was asked for an interview because she wasn't able to do so last night.
"I honestly wanted to go home last night but I can't ignore the fact that I am genuinely falling for him." Lyrae sighed and looked at Emily.
Emily smiled at her, "That's it."
"Thanks Emily, Fred and I'm sorry." Lyrae said.
