Naomi's POV
(Friday morning)
"Oh my god, Mariah, you will never believe what happened yesterday!"
"You have a boyfriend?!"
"Don't be so unrealistic child. But seriously, Hayes got a haircut and he is looking fine af." I say as I push open the door to my school.
"You say that as if he really were your boyfriend." She rolls her eyes a little.
"It'll happen one day. One day when he's not famous anymore, we'll run into each other and everything will fall into place." I can feel the biggest smile on my face just talking about Hayes.
"Ha, well don't count on it."
"Oh like your dreams of marrying teenage Leonardo DiCaprio are soooo realistic." I say smiling to myself.
"Would you just let that go?"
"Hmmm...no, I don't think I will." I say with a smirk and a laugh.

(Friday afternoon)
"Mom are you still taking Mariah and I to the mall tomorrow?"
"As long as you still want to go."
"Alright yeah. I definitely need some black combat boots." I run up the stairs, close the door to my room and call Mariah.
"We're still going." I say once it stops ringing.
"Okay. Are we going to True Fields Mall or what?"
"You know damn well I will never be at True Fields ever in about the next ten years. That place is just...no. We're going to West River."
"I flipping hate West River Naomi!" she whines.
"Well, I didn't ask. I'll pick you up tomorrow."
"Okie dokie."

(Saturday around 11:00)
"Bye honey, have a good time." My mom waves to Mariah and I from her car as she drops us off in front of the mall. I wave as she drives away.
"Okay, I have my game plan ready for today." Mariah says. "Okay so H&M first and after that we would past by - "
"Whoa whoa whoa. Pump your brakes man." I say, trying my best to imitate Nash.
"Alright well we can't just freely frolic through the mall with no strategy."
"This isn't a game show child. Just chill."
We walked through Nordstrom and into H&M as we discussed this. She ran to the jeans as I looked at the jackets. All of a sudden, my hands started to get sweaty and my heart began to beat faster. I looked around the store. "Mariah..." I called out. She locked eyes with me and quickly ran over.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know. It's just getting a little hot in here." She pulled out her water bottle, took the cap off and handed it to me. I quickly drank but I didn't drink much. I was feeling better and we went on to another store.
In Urban Outfitters, Mariah led me around the store just to make sure I wasn't going to pass out.
"I'm fine Mariah. It was just that one time." I honestly have no idea what happened. She gives me a scared look. "Okay. Let's go look at the records," she says skipping away. She looks back to see if I'm coming, but I just stand there. It's happening again, seven minutes after the first time. This time I feel butterflies in my stomach.
"I need to sit down." Mariah brings be over to a table with clothes on it and I sit down. I lay back. I'm probably making such a scene, but every second it gets worse. Everyone is staring and Mariah is trying to shove the water bottle down my throat. I'm breathing harder. I'm starting to think this is a panic attack. I don't know why I would have one though or for what reason. I had one when I was seven because my mom was leaving for a business trip.
I look at the ceiling and close my eyes, basically ready to except my death. "What happened?" I hear a worried, unfamiliar voice say. My senses are weakening so I can't hear very well and my vision was getting blurry before I closed my eyes.
"Whoa," I hear Mariah says. She says more but I don't know what she says. I feel a large warm hand on my arm and my heart beat slows down. I slowly breath in and out before opening my eyes.
"I don't think you want to open your eyes right now," Mariah says, slightly excited. I look over and Hayes Grier stands there with his hands on my arm. My eyes almost bulge out of my head. I hopped so quick off the table and ran out the store. "I think you're gonna want her number," Mariah says. "It's 555-7446."
"MARIAH STOP! LETS GO!" She waves goodbye and runs towards me. "So I'm gonna guess you had those panic attacks because he was near us? How did you know he was here in the first place?"
I'm still recovering, but I manage to answer her question. "It's true love. I told you!"
I pull out my phone and text my mom:
Mama: We're ready to go home.
