I'm not flirting, I'm just genuinely enamored with you.

LAYING ON YOUR bed with your phone in front of you as you started scrolling on your social media. You weren't really aware of your surroundings as you are preoccupied of the outfits that continued to pop up on the discover page on Instagram.

The door creaked open. You could have sworn it was your mom who was about to rummage through your stuff again for some unknown reason. Instead of your mother who was mindlessly opening your drawers, it was a certain black haired cat boy.

"Mom, close the door for the sake of the world-" You rest your phone down on your chest, pissed that you felt the door that was still opened. Instead of the face you get tired of seeing everyday, it was Miya who was close up to your face.

"Ah, what the fuck!" In your defense, you kick his stomach. Could have been a little lower and you would have had a crying Miya on your floor. Miya was pushed back to the ground, coughing a bit. He swore he could taste some metal inside his mouth.

He stands up and furrows his eyes, "What the hell was that about!"

"If you had fucking knocked, then none of this wouldn't have happened. Am I right or am I left?"

Miya rolled his eyes at your sarcastic remark, a small smile creeping on his face. The sun had already started to shine, the rays of light hitting Miya's face. He had jumped on your bed and sat on the edge of the bed.

You remember him having a conversation with your older cousin—not saying you eavesdropped, but that seems like that was it— and recall him freezing about something with a bed. You shrug the memory off and look at Miya who only had the softest smile on him, admiring you almost.

"Have you had lunch yet?" He asked, cracking his knuckles. Your Mom had woken up quite later that usual that's why you hadn't ate breakfast yet. Your stomach grumbled at the thought of newly cooked food on the table.

He laughs and says, "I'll take that as a no."

Miya was so calm and so relaxed compared to when he was mad at you for worrying much about him. You had no idea what caused him to be so much clingy to you. Maybe Langa or Reki talked some sense into him? Whatever it was, it only seemed to make you worry more about him.

How were you about to break the news to him? You hate seeing his mood change because of what you had in your mind for the last week. You sighed. It's better to say it now than to be sorry when you come back.

"Miya-"

"Y/n-"

You both said in unison. There was a mild pause before Miya spoke once more.

"Where's the bathroom again?" He asked, tint of red spreading all across his face. You scoffed.

"You've been over to my house so many times and yet you still don't know where the bathroom is? Across the corridor, then take a right." He nodded and left, hearing him muttering the directions like a damaged record player.

Another sigh left your mouth, pulling your blanket up to your forehead. You just didn't have the guts to tell Miya. He was so happy now.

Why did she even agree with her aunt? She could be staying in her bed without the sudden thought of telling the news to Miya. It grated the back of you head whenever you would think about moving it and Miya.

This wasn't like the projects and assignments you weren't able to pass. Sure, they were also permanent, but you didn't bat a single eyelash whenever you would remember it. In fact, you would just shrug them off. But why does this suddenly feel so different?
