Subhadra looked out of the window, lost in her thoughts. Thoughts of heartbreak.
"Why had Prince Arjun confessed his love for me if it was never true? Why had he broken my heart by marrying Yagnaseni Draupadi? She must be way more beautiful than I am, so he must have fallen for her, totally forgetting about me" Subhadra thought but suddenly Krishna's words rang in meet ears.
"Subhadrey, beauty is not outer beauty, it's the inner beauty. And if someone loves you truly, Your place will always remain in their heart" Krishna had told her. And then, she suddenly had a flashback
*FLASHBACK*
Arjun had just revealed his feelings for her to her and both of them were the happiest people in the entire world. But Arjun had to leave for varnavat as it was Kunti's order.
Arjun: Bhadra, I must leave to varnvat now
Subhadra: I have a feeling that something inauspicious is going to happen. Do you have to leave?
Arjun : As long as your love is with me, nothing will happen to me so don't worry.
Subhadra : I will be your strength and motivation Arjun, not your limits. I will never let our love affect you duties.
Arjun: I love you, I love you so much. As soon as you entered my life, I finally found happiness again
Subhadra : I love you too. Just Promise me you will never leave me
Arjun: We are one soul in two bodies, then how can I leave you? As soon as possible, I'll come and ask for your hand in marriage
Subhadra : I will be waiting for you
*Flashback ends*
She quickly got up, wiped her tears and decided that now since Arjun was married and had taken an oath to never get married again, she would get over her heartbreak and start considering him a brother
Just then Dushala entered and as usual, started to tease Subhadra.
"My sakhi is dressed so beautifully that she will make my Bhrata Arjun fall for her...." and realized what she had said
"Sakhi,if he has forgotten me then I will also forget that WE had ever existed" Subhadra said trying to fake a smile
"You cannot hide you're tears in front of your sakhi, Subhi. If Bhrata Arjun had really fallen for Rajkumari Draupadi's beauty then I will break all relations with him" Dushala replied firmly
"How can he be my brother when he has broken my sakhi's heart." she continued
"My dushi" Subhadra said breaking down in Dushala's arms. After crying her heart out finally she and Dushala for ready and went in the hall to meet the Pandavas and Draupadi.
Subhadra glanced at Arjun, but Arjun couldn't look up to meet her eyes. Subhadra's heart ached seeing Arjun guiltily looking down, but she faked a large smile.
Arjun looked at Subhadra from the corner of his eyes and felt extremely guilty for breaking her heart and trust on him. Seeing Subhadra fake a smile, trying to hide her emotion hurt his heart even more.
"Pranipat Bhrata Yudhister. Finally Dharmraj has found his Dharmpriye" Subhadra said touching Yudhister's feet Yudhister blessed Subhadra and Draupadi blushed
"Aww my Bhabi, you look so cute while blushing. You've got the best warriors in the entire world, my bhratas as your husbands. Take care of them, okay?" Subhadra said and Draupadi turned a deeper shade of red.
"Subhadra you are my sakha, Govind's sister so you are like my younger sister therefore I'd prefer it if you call me jiji" Draupadi said hugging Subhadra
How ever much Subhadra felt sad towards Arjun for betraying her heart, she did not let this affect the sisterly affection she felt for Draupadi
"I have two elder brothers but now I got an elder sister as well" Subhadra said with a smile. Then she walked towards Bheem.
"Pranipat Bhrata Bheem" Subhadra touched his feet
"In the feast you were saying that it will be difficult for me to find a bride, now see!" Bheem said
"And Subhadra, Bhrata Bheem found not one, but two brides" Nakul said giggling
"You married twice, Bhrata?" Subhadra said shocked. She looked at Draupadi who had a tinge of jealousy in her eyes.
They told her about Hidimba and Bheem''s marriage and Subhadra burst out laughing.
"From when did my Bhrata Bheem become so handsome" Subhadra teased him
"Subhadra....." Bheem twisted her ear "Now who will save you"
"Arya, leave my younger sister's ear." Draupadi said coming in the middle
"Perfect jiji, now we will team up one by one against all my bhratas" Subhadra said and hi-fied Draupadi. Then she went towards Nakul and said
"My most handsome Bhrata has found his match, one of the most beautiful woman as his wife" Subhadra said and greeted Nakul
Nakul blushed and said "No sooner will you also find a suitable match, Bhadrey. I know how it feels when someone we trusted so much betrays our heart.....but don't worry I'll find a match you deserve, someone who will never break you heart." Nakul said glancing towards Arjun. He was angry on his Bhrata for breaking his sister Subhadra's heart.
"My Bhrata Nakul is the best and his choice will also be the best" Subhadra said hugging Nakul. Arjun's heart ached even just thinking about Subhadra, HIS Subhadra becoming someone else's.
Then she went towards Sahedev and said "Bhrata, how does it feel to be the youngest yet be married along with your Bhratas?"
"You can imagine it, Subhadra" Sahadev said grinning while Subhadra nodded and head and giggled.
Then she walked towards Arjun who was looking down unable to meet her eyes. She touched his feet and said " Pranipat Raj...Bhrata Arjun" and looked at him.
Arjun gathered all his courage and looked up at Subhadra and blessed her. He looked into her eyes "The eyes which were once filled with innocence and mischief and an unexplored ocean of maturity were now filled with sadness and heartbreak all because of me" he thought. He looked at her, her eyes teary and dried tears on her cheeks which only he could see.
Nakul and Dushala understood the situation, both of them needed privacy to talk to each other so Nakul signaled all his brothers to follow him while Dushala pulled Draupadi along to show her somethings and tell her the choices of her husband.
"I have some work so I must leave now BHRATA Arjun" she said emphasizing on the word Bhrata and turning to leave.
But Arjun caught her hand
