Why would anyone want to give up on life ? Yes, life can be hard to live. But all you have to do is stay strong. Never give up. Cutting just causes more pain to yourself. No one deserves to self harm themselves. God wouldn't want you to give up on life. Just live life to the fullest.

Sorry I just had to write this. One of my best guy friends start cutting. Wish started hurting me. It did make me cry when I found out. But I'm here trying to help him out.
