Chapter 2

Eda was reviewing the presentation for the upteenth time that morning when Ferit came in.

"Oh thank god you came Ferit, I was just going to call you. Are you sure there's nothing missing in the presentation? Did you double check the budget and the finance details?"

"Eda, relax, everything will go well. Don't worry." Ferit's attempts were in vain because Eda was going to calm down only after she got the tender. "And yes, I made sure all the finance details are correct. I have sent them to you, if you want you can take a look at it later. Oh, and make sure you ask Ceren to go over all the legal points."

"Uff Ferit, I just hope everything goes smoothly. I already went over the points with Ceren. Everything appears to be fine. Ferit, if we don't get this-"

"Eda, you will get this tender. There's no way you won't." He grabbed her hands in his "Just breathe Eda. It will be amazing." Eda looked into his eyes and there was nothing but reassurance. She gave him a nod and went back to reviewing the presentation another time. She could make no mistakes.

"Abi, how can you be so calm? We still haven't gotten the tender yet. You know that right?"

"Engin, relax. We already made sure everything is done to perfection. Worrying makes you lose confidence. There's no way they will reject us. We just have to watch the events play out. The presentation is tomorrow, that gives us plenty of time to make sure no details are left out."

"Okay Serkan, I trust you but-"

"Engin" Serkan interrupted him, irritated. "That tender is mine. Tamam mi?"

Engin sighed "Peki Abi. I just hope the results are in our favor because, if it isn't, I don't want you to be disappointed.

"Don't worry. Nothing of that sort will happen." Serkan closed the topic and focused his attention to the presentation which he was reviewing again.

It was finally presentation day.

"As you can see, we are very excited for this project and I am sure you will not be disappointed when you work with us. Thank you very much!" With that, Eda concluded her presentation and waited for any questions.

Ferit was seated to her right with Erdem next to him. There were five other people seated around the table, and the man sitting in front of Ferit spoke up. "Eda hanim, thank you so much for this presentation. I don't know about the others, but I for sure can say that I love your ideas and the way you presented them is authentic." Eda knew him to be Mert Bey, the head of the finance department for BIOEXPO 2021. Eda gave the man a quick thank you and turned to the rest of the board members. They discussed amongst themselves for a couple of more minutes and then were ready to give their final comments.

The woman sitting next to Erdem began, "Really, Eda hanim, we have noticed how far you have come in just two years of coming into this business world. We really like the originality in your concepts. And with that I think we can conclude this presentation, thank you very much once again. We will get in touch with you very soon." She was Eylul Yilmaz, the head architect of BIOEXPO 2021.

Eda smiled confidently and thanked the board while Ferit and Erdem rose from their seats. The three made their way outdoors and once they stepped out of the building, Eda let out a breath she wasn't aware she was holding. "Ferit....Erdem...." she started and the boys turned towards her. "How did I do? Be honest. Did I miss anything?" She asked while she was racking her brain to think of any left out details before finally giving up.
