Rhydian, Maddy, and I were gathered in the photography club room. Maddy had just off the phone thanking her mom for getting us out of the bad situation. "Think about lying in that green field, how lame is that," my brother said smiling. "It worked didn't it" she replied defensively. "Yeah," I said. We all chuckled and smiled at each other. "Well now Jeffrey knows it wasn't us it's not our problem," I said. "Actually it is-" we gave her a confused look and she let out a long sigh before continuing. "Tom was the last one to leave the building on Friday" "Tom," Rhydian said in disbelief. "His marvelous weekend in Manchester...never happened. His dad never showed up" she said. "I told you he was lying," I said. "and his artwork is the worst damaged... he photos of him and his dad destroyed" "so talk to him it's better coming from you than someone else," I said. She gave me a nod and we all started walking right back into class. Before we walked into the classroom I could hear Jimmy making fun of us. I only smiled when I heard Maddy defending us. We walked inside the classroom with smiles on our faces. As we were watching past Jimmy and his group of friends. I turned to him and flipped them off before sitting in my seat. We were just about to start when Shannon shouted. "Ultraviolet!!". Everyone in the class turned and looked at her with a confused face. She whispered an apology to them before turning to us. "Do you guys remember Kara's ultraviolet painting?" she asked us. Maddy and Tom both nodded their heads. "The ink was spilled everywhere the Vandal must have stepped in it," she said. "so they wouldn't have washed it off," I said with a smirk. "They didn't know it was even there," she said. "how are you going to check everybody's shoes," I asked confused.
Time-skip-------------------------------------------
I was shaking my head as I watched Shannon on her knee what's an ultraviolet light in her hand. Suddenly in times comes over to Shannon and snatches the light out of her hands and hand it to maddy. "If you really think it's me...check it yourself" he said. Maddy slowly approached and gripped the light. She was hesitant but she still kneeled down and shine the light on his feet. We waited for a minute but nothing came up. Tom stepped back obviously feeling betrayed while looking down at maddy. "Thanks mads some friend you are" he said. We all just looked at him speechless as he walked away. Me, Rhydian, and Shannon went back to looking for the Vandal while Maddy chased after Tom. We had just got done with the stairs when I let out a huge yawn. "Well that can't be everyone I never said Kay and her mates or Ryan Boswell" Shannon said speaking up. "We've had to miss people let's try again tomorrow, I'll take this back" I said. Shannon let out a annoyed groan and handed me the UV light. After Shannon split from meridian I was still scanning the halls as we were on our way to put the tool back. I stopped in my tracks when I saw the ultraviolet on someone's shoes that was hanging on their locker. When the locker closed, it was none other than jimmy himself. In that moment I didn't know whether to be shocked or give in to my anger...I chose anger. I shoved my bag to the ground and picked him up by the collar and pushed him towards the lockers. "What are you doing" "it was you, you destroyed the room" "I don't know what you're talking about" he yelled. He jabbed me in the eye making me drop him. My eyes were closed and hurt. I heard the sound of his feet running away. I tilted my head and followed his scent. I found my way outside. I heard Rhydian jumped off the roof and land behind him. He turned around and jumped. I tapped his shoulder from behind him making him fall. "Did you do all that definitely just to get us in trouble" Rhydian asked. "No" he said. "You had an interest since we arrived you told Jeffrey's we were here that night" I said angrily. "You think everything is about you too don't you, the poor little orphan boys you don't know how lucky you really are. No one telling you you're not good enough that you're disappointment that's family who needs one" he said sadly. I calmed down and finally opened my eyes again. "Next time you lose your temper, go smash up your own things" Rhydian said. We both started walking away when Jimmy called out to us. "You ought to tell on me are you" he asked. "They don't have to" a voice said from behind us. We both turned around to find Jimmy's dad infront of us. His father has heard every word that we spoke and took him to Mr. Jeffries office. Afterwards we met up with Maddie and Shannon and filled them in on what happened. "Do you think he'll get expelled" Maddy asked. "he deserves it, trying to get you both in trouble for it" Shannon said. "Jimmy's got problems of his own" Rhydian said. "I don't care he's a dickhead, he deserved what he got." I said. "Exactly his family is loaded, problems like what" Shannon said. "All families have problems it got nothing to do with the money" Maddy replied. We watched as Jimmy's and his dad drove past us and his dad was yelling at him. "Yeah maybe we are lucky being on our own" Rhydian said looking at me. The two girls smiled as they looked at us before Maddy said. "Your not alone". I took those words and let them bounce around my brain. "Yeah, we'll see you later" I said softly. We walked away with the two of them waving us goodbye.
