"Make way! Make way for our Royal Highness, Katsuki Bakugou!"

The crowd of other nobel men and women applaud in a polite manner, moving aside slightly to create a space for the prince to move through. The children stop and stare for a few seconds, their parents promptly correcting them on their rudeness.

Strolling across the floor was you, giving your "Hello's" and "How are you's?" as you made your way.

You caught his eye, intriguing him and causing him to change course, pushing past those who wished to talk. As the music slowled, you had been swept off your feet by a man from another kingdom, he looked to be a bit older than you and an important knight of some sort.

"Hello my dearest... how are you on this fine afternoon?" He spoke softly, your hand in his embrace as he lead you towards the floor.

"Oh, please, Knight Midoriya, you mustn't care for such formalities! Though, I am doing quite well, thank you."

You smiled lightly at the boy infrount of you, he had grown over the years, grown to become a man yet, in your eyes, he was nothing but a boy who had helped you out of the mud when you two were young.

"I see... my apologies, my sweet, I must be going on to talk with your father. He is the reason I was called here on this night."

With a quick kiss on the back of your hand, the knight was gone, lost to the crowd in the ballroom.

"Your excelence."

"My Prince."

Katsuki had made his way to you, finally calming himself from his rivals rude intrusions. He took you hand in his after a small bow, a smirk across his lips as both of you knew what the other was up to while he spoke first.

After all, you had both been rivals and friends for years, always meeting on the battlefield or in stupid Gallas.

"Care for a dance?"

"Why... I thought you'd never ask!"

You two caught the attention of nearly everyone in the room, the energy when you were together... it was unseen. Two rival, yet friendly, offspring of kingdoms coming together in a natural dance? Everyone held their breath for a moment, observing you two.

The music picked up and so you began your dance. A traditional ballroom dance was in place, his hand on your hip and yours on his shoulder.

Around you went, time seemingly slowing and quickening all at once.

"I can never understand you, my Highness." Bakugou told you, a playful glimer in his eye as he danced with you.

"And neither I with you, my Prince."

chime, chime, chime

A soft clink of glasses brought your attention to the frount. A beautiful couple, king and queen in-hand, stood with their cups.

"We'd like to make a dedicated toast to our esteemed prince." The king stated, a proud look on his face.

"To the bastard prince, Bakugou."

Gasping silence over took the crowd as they turned to see who made such a rude intrusion infrount of the very crown themselves.

A dual haired male stood upon a chair, white suit perfectly framing him. He held a mischievous grin, eyes darting about the room till they found Katsukis gaze.

"To the prince." He held the glass upon his lips, tilting back with a single gulp before hopping off the chair.

"Shoto? But... how?"

Shoto had betrayed the very kingdom not weeks before, a harsh time for the very moral of the civilians as he was loved by all.

"No matter. I trust you won't make any intrusions in this gala?" Katsuki shouted, causing you to flinch and look up at him with a quizzical gaze.

A single nod and another sip of his beverage was gained from the red and white haired male. It sufficed for Katsuki as he, too nodded and raised his glass.

"Then so be it! Let us not ruin this perfectly prepared event in my honor! To the bastard prince, Katsuki!"

He raised his glass, the room following suit.

The queen chimed in, rather taken aback by the situation.

"To my son, Prince Katsuki!"

"To Prince Katsuki!"
