Hazel's POV
I've never been the most popular girl around, that is until Nick noticed me. It was the beginning of the school year, September to be exact. I was sitting in the back of my Math class when he noticed me. He walked in right at the bell which forced him to take the only available spot at the front of the room. As the teacher droned on about whatever I doodled in my notebook. Every time I looked his way he was staring at me and he didn't try to hide it.
He couldn't be looking at me, he must be looking at the girl in front of me. I think to myself as I continue to draw on the cover of my book.
"Hazel are you even listening?" The teacher asks and I nod my head. "Yeah." I answer and she shrugs her shoulders. "Okay." She goes back to talking and I roll my eyes. Nick smiles at me and I feel a blush creep onto my cheeks. 'Why is he staring at me like that?' I wonder to myself as I stare out the window.
Throughout the entire class he just stares at me. He looks away every once in a while but other then that his gaze is on me the whole time, it's making me rather uncomfortable. My phone vibrates and I casually pull it out of my pocket, checking the message.
Seems like you have an admirer ;P
-Demi
I look at my best and practically only from that's sitting across the room from me. She winks at me and I roll my eyes.
Ya whatever.

I put my phone on silent and ignore all the messages she's sending me. Sometimes it amazes me how we can be friends, we're so different yet we just work together.
When the bell rings signalling the end of class I silently thank the heavens. Now I can escape the stares of both Nick and Demi.
As I put my notebook and pen away in my backpack I feel a tap on my shoulder. Quickly I spin around only to see Demi standing there smirking at me. She wiggles her eyebrows and winks at me.
"What?" I ask her as I zip up my bag. "You know what. Nick totally likes you and I'm totally jealous." I roll my eyes as I shoulder my bag. "No he doesn't, he was probably looking at the idiot in front of me." We walk out of the room and she punches me in the arm as soon as we're out of the teachers sight. "No he wasn't. He likes you and you guys are going to date and then get married and I'll be the god mother to your children." She has a far off look on her face as she plans my future for me.
Walking away from her I head to my locker, forcing her to jog to catch up with me. "You know it's true." I open my locker and switch out my books, choosing to ignore her.
"Look, here he comes." She winks, leaning against the locker and I spin around only to be met with the rush of people heading to their next class. "You suck." I narrow my eyes at her, giving her one of my best glares.
As I shut my locker she smiles at me. "So what colour should I wear to the wedding?" She asks me and I groan internally. "Purple, wear purple." I lock my locker before walking away as she stands there daydreaming about I don't even know what.
I make it to my next class with a couple minutes to spare. As I walk into the room I see my luck is getting better and better. Nick is sitting at the middle table and my chemistry teacher decides to do me the favour of pairing us together.
This should be interesting.
