chapter 2

Nick's POV

When I saw her walk into my class i thought to my self 'this is going to be a good year.' I was sitting in the middle of the room with an open seat next to me. I'm glad Hazel sat next to me, she's so pretty. I've never seen her up close before, her cheek bones, her eye lashes, her beautiful blue eyes, and her perfect ginger hair. I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't hear what Mr. Holt had told us. "Hey, I didn't hear what he said, what do we have to do?" I ask when I tapped Hazel on her shoulder. She looked at me with this puzzled look. After she looked at me for a minute, she finally answered, "We have to write a 5 page essay with a partner about why chemistry is so important." As soon as she said we have to do it with a partner I thought of her but, I wasn't sure if she would want to work with me. " Is this an in school project?" I ask her as I wink at her. She smiled and winked back than answered " Well, no we have to do it outside of school which means going to your partners house or meeting at the library." Now is my chance to get with her, here goes nothing. "Well.... I was wondering if you... you know wanted to be my partner?" She looked at me in shock like her dog had just been hit by a car, " I'd love to be your partner." When those words came out of her mouth i was so happy. "well if you want you can come over tonight." she said looking at her books. "id love too, we can walk to your house after school." when the bell rang we both walked to gym togther and after gym we walked to her house. when we got to her house, we went straight to her room. we got are books out and she got a call it was werid she looked at it threw the phone and started working on the project. than five minutes later the same person called again this time she answered. i didnt know the other person on the other side of the phone call, i heared some yelling and than she hung up. i was kinda scraed at the moment. i guess she could sence that she moved closer to me and grabbed my hand. i lifted her head so she was looking at me and she leaned in and are lips touched her soft scared lips felt so good up agenst mine. this perfect moment came to an end when a tall husky man stormed in to the room. he was mad you could tell, he grabbed my arm and threw me on the ground, got on top of me and started punching me. he got three or four punchs in before Hazel got him off of me. he grabbed her arm upulled her close and whispered something into her ear, bit her ear and walked out. i asked her about him and she said "his name was noah and ever since they broke up he has been over protective.  We sat there five minutes snuggling making small talk thats about Noah and there relatetionship . "So you wanna come over tomorrow?" she said me. I node as i kissed her head, before i walk out the door she grabs my arm and her soft, cold, scared lips touch mine and are lips moved in sync with each other. she smiled and said good bye, i winked at her said good bye and walked out the door to my moms car.
