Shy and bullied but you had to add love

Chapter 9

Hazel's POV

"Get dressed, I'm taking you for supper." Nick said, entering the living room. I groan. "Why can't we just order pizza? I don't wanna get dressed." I whine and he rolls his eyes before sitting beside me on the couch. " 'Cause I've already made reservations and bought you something to wear. You better be ready by the time I get back here." He threatens, kissing the top of my head before standing up again. "I'll be back in 45 minutes." I watch him walk to the door, then down the driveway to his car.

Sighing I slowly get up before walking to my bedroom. What could he have bought me and when? I wonder to myself as I enter my room. Gasping I cover my mouth as I look at the beautiful dark blue dress that's laying on my bed. Cautiously I walk over to it before fingering the silky fabric. It's beautiful. Holding it against my body I discover it's strapless and goes roughly to mid thigh.

Gently I set the dress back on my bed before grabbing what I need and heading to the bathroom to shower.

After my shower I blow dry then curl my hair into perfect ringlets and apply a bit of mascara and eye liner, just enough to make my eyes pop. Once I'm satisfied with that I walk back to my room. The cold air of my room hits me causing me to shiver. Looking at my clock I see that I only have 20 minutes left to get ready. Crap! I practically throw on my new dress and dive into my closet looking for shoes to go with it.

Finally I find my pair of black high heels that I easily slip into. Grabbing my clutch I throw my wallet and my phone. Carefully I walk down the hallway and into the living room.

There's a knock at the door and as gracefully as I can I walk over to the door.

When I open the door I see a girl standing there.

"Hello? Can I help you?" I ask her, leaning against the door frame awkwardly. "Are you Nick's girlfriend?" She asks, smiling at me innocently. "Yeah, who are you?" My nerves spike as she smirks at me. "I'm Nick's ex-girlfriend. Also known to most as Summer. I will do anything in my power to get him back and to make sure my precious baby doesn't get hurt. If you stand in my way I will mess you up." Giving me the fakest smile ever she turns and walks away.

Shutting the door I take a shaky breath.

I am so screwed.
