Nick was home again.
He had asked Lilly to meet him in secret, almost asking her if it was okay to come back.

Now, he and Robert we stuffed together in one chair.
Where Lilly and David seemed to like to sprawl out over couches or the floor, Nick and Robert were always moving in close, squishing together.

"Hey, what are we?"

Everyone in the living room turned to him, wondering if he had maybe smoked a little to much.

"Pretty sure we're vampire's, Mark."

Lilly fairly cackled at hearing the level of snark from usually reserved Nick.

Mark even snorted.
"No, I mean... I was with a group of vampires said they were a 'coven'... but I always thought those were witches."

Robert nodded, "Usually, but it can just mean a secret group of a collection of people wit similar interests. The ones I were with referred to themselves as 'clan' or, 'the house'. They were so pretentious."

David chuckled a little, "I was in a straight up gang... Wild one, too."
Everyone laughed, Lilly hiding her face in his shoulder.

"But... we were a family, too. And that's really as far as I've thought about it. Same with you guys. We're brothers... And Lilly."
He grinned down at her, enjoying her blush though he wasn't sure why she did.

"I don't care what you call us, coven, clan, family. Choose whatever you like."

Lilly brought home a stack of dvds from the second hand store at dusk.

"$3, all cheesy horror released, 1989 or older. Pick one. Pick two! I'm starting popcorn"

The guys had it narrowed down to three.

"We have Rabid- 1977 vampire/zombie hybrid kinda movie," Mark started, laying the dvds on the coffee table.

David had just come up from the basement, still groggy, took the bowl of popcorn from Lilly automatically and moved to the couch, looking at what they presented.

"The Gate- 1987 staring a very young Stephen Dorff.
And... Killer Klowns-"

"From Outer Space. That one."

Everyone was a little surprised. David hardly ever picked, satisfied to agree with the majority.

Lilly shrugged. "I was gonna pick The Gate, but if it excites you that much then by all means!"

It was a disaster, more so then the films they normally watched.
Probably because it was trying to be funny and wasn't.
They all actually were rooting for the Killer Klowns.

About twenty minutes before the film ended, Lilly blasted out a laugh no one thought appropriate to the scene.

"Is that the freaking boardwalk in Santa Carla?" She asked.

David grinned cheekily.

"You wanted to watch this stinker, this bomb, for a glance at the boardwalk?"

He shrugged, still smiling.
"It was home for a long time..."

". . . Road trip!" Lilly and Joel managed to shout in unison.
