A Lying Witch and Warden Pt. 1

Y/N awoke in a large clearing, they felt the usual nausea whenever they time traveled. They sat up slowly and saw their pack a foot away, one of the apples had fallen out. Y/N scooped it up and put it back in the bag.

??: "Tiny trash thief!"

Y/N quickly got up, they ran after the voice. They ran until they saw a girl enter an abandoned house, hurriedly they ran inside. They were immediately blinded by a golden light. Y/N stumbled out of the door, nearly falling over. The girl Y/N had seen run inside turned around surprised someone else was here.

??: "Who are you?"
Y/N: "Y/N."

The girl hesitated before saying their own name.

??: "I am Luz Noceda."

Luz offered a hand to Y/N and helped them get up. She looked back at the opening of a tent, Y/N barely had anytime to take in the area before the girl ran towards the opening of the tent.

Luz: "Excuse me, sorry, this is mine, thank you!"

She ran outside grabbed something and emerged with a book. A women stepped inside of the tent she was wearing a silly pair of glasses and held a key, before Luz could make it to the glowing door Y/N had just noticed it folded up into a suit case with an eye on it.

??: "You're not going anywhere." She said as she took off the glasses.

Luz runs out the back of the tent and Y/N follows, not knowing what else to do. Luz stood inches away from a cliff. Y/N heard themselves gasp at what they saw. There was an entire town down below, there were to many arms, claws, and teeth. A dragon flew by suddenly getting grabbed by a large meaty arm. Luz backs away from the cliff, as if scared of being grabbed by an arm.

Luz: "Oh no no no no! What's going on?"

Luz yelped as she spotted a small pink fairy.

Luz: "Oh. Hello little fairy. Are you going to tell me this is all a fantastical dream?"
Fairy: "Give me your skin!"

Luz and Y/N yelped, and Y/N smacked the fairy to the ground.

Luz: "Where am I? Did I die? Am I in the bad place?"

Y/N felt a hand on their shoulder, and they felt the eyes of the women burn into their skull.

??: "You wish."

Y/N and Luz sat on stools. There was a sign above the saying 'Human Collectables' The women was incredibly pale. She had silver hair and striking golden eyes. Luz closed her eyes in fright and Y/N sighed.

Luz: "I'm sorry! I just wanted my book! If you're going to eat my skin, just do it quick! Do it now!"
??: "Eat you? Why would I eat... potential customers?"

Luz opened her eyes surprised. Y/N looked on with interest, they had never known what humans had, to be honest they had never really wanted to learn about humans.

??: "Can I offer you a human foot filled with holes? A bar of green human candy? Oh, oh! How about this black shadow box that reflects only sadness?"
Luz: "That's not all it can do. Let me see it."

Y/N watched with great interest as Luz took 2 small cylinders from the human candies and opened the top of the box putting them inside of the shadow box. Suddenly there was a small man human inside the box, they were in a ridiculous outfit with 2 pink bars in each hand. Luz looked at Y/N confused on why they were so surprised and confused.

Luz: "Haven't you ever seen a TV?"
Y/N: "Yeah! Totally! I've just never seen one like that before." They lied

Soon a crowd formed around the Human Collectables stall, they were all interested about the screaming box.

??: "What did you say your names were?"
Luz: "I'm Luz. Luz Noceda."
Y/N: "Y/N... L/N?"
??: "Well Luz, you're pretty smart for a human."

Y/N felt very offended that Luz was the only one the women called smart. Granted Luz was the one who caused the box to start screaming while they did nothing and they weren't human. But still.

Luz: "Thats kind of a weird thing for another human to say."
??: "Oh dear child, I'm not like you." The women takes off her bandana revealing 2 pointy ears.
??: "I'm Eda the Owl Lady! The most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles."
Luz: "A witch?"
Eda: "I am respected, feared-"
??: "Busted!" The TV as Luz called it, was smashed and glass shards went everywhere. One of them nearly caught Y/N's left arm.
??: "Run! It's a guard!"

Eda scowled at the guard, her eyes boring into his.

Guard: "Eda the Owl Lady. You are wanted for the misuse of magic and demonic misdemeanors."
Y/N: "Woah, a witch criminal!"
Guard: "You are hereby ordered to come with me to the Conformatorium."
Eda: "Would you guys quit following me around? I haven't done squat."
Guard: "And you 2 are coming as well."

The guard grabbed Luz and Y/N pulling on there shirts. Y/N struggled kicking at the guard's stomach. He grunted but his grip was steadfast.

Guard: "For fraternizing with a criminal."
Y/N: "Hey! We were just pulled here!"
Luz: "Wh-What? That's not cool!"
Eda: "Oh, all right, all right, you win. Just let me get my stuff."

Eda pulled a staff from under the table, Eda swung the staff cracking the guard on his head. The guard was suddenly on the ground, stunned Y/N just sat there until they were tugged up by Luz. Eda spun the staff and tapped the end of it of the cobble ground. Then everything in the stall began to float and wrapped its self into a blanket.

Eda: "Can't forget this!"

Eda pulled out the same key Y/N had seen before out of her hair.

Eda: "Follow me humans!"

Y/N started to sprint after Eda pulling Luz behind her, who was struggling to keep up because of the sudden burst of speed Y/N had just put on.

Luz: "This is crazy. If I die here, my mom's gonna kill me!"
Eda: "Ha! I won't let 'em hurt you. Humans like you 2 are much more valuable to me alive than dead."
Y/N: "Wait. What's that supposed to‐‐"
Eda: "Whoo‐hoo!"

Eda jumped up into the air, pulling the duo of humans onto the staff.

Guard: "You won't get away with this, Owl Lady! Yeah, all right. You did. You got away with it. She got away with it, everybody! Typical."
