The sun softly shined through the leaves of cherry trees as the first day of kindergarten started. There was a bus for kids who lived too far away to walk to school, which pulled up on the newly concreted parking lot, and opened its doors to let the children out of the school bus.
There were almost too many to count, but there were around 45 children, half of them were on the bus, the other half were flooding the school yard, which was a playground with slightly eroded paths, slides with slightly faded paint and flaky stairs made of cheap plastic. Flowers were popping up in the grassy fields, as it was the springtime.
Here we had a blonde haired boy with slightly desaturated pastel blue eyes, a bandage on the bridge of his nose, looking confidently at the school. There was an older boy and a slightly smaller boy next to him. The older boy had chocolate brown hair and a red beanie on, meanwhile the smaller boy had dirty blonde hair, and blue eyes.
"I want you to be good, alright Tommy?" The brown haired boy looked down to the kindergartener with the bandage, who nodded vigorously.
"C'mon Tubbo!" The blonde grabbed the smaller's hand and dragged him into the courtyard.
Tubbo exhaled and let himself be dragged, walking a bit haltingly behind Tommy, adjusting his backpack straps and looking around the courtyard at all the other children. It was quite scary and overwhelming, as there were varying heights as well, and everyone was different colors, via hair, clothing style, and skin tone.
Tommy bumped into someone, and rubbed his forehead. Tubbo ran into Tommy as he wasn't looking where he was going as well.
"Hey! Watch where you're going." Tommy frowned at them, wiping his nose with his hand that wasn't tugging Tubbo along.
"... Sorry you bumped into me?" The person turned around to face Tommy and Tubbo. It was a girl with light green eyes and roses in her hair, which she pushed back, and looked at the duo with a raised brow. Her voice was genuine with the question, not really rude.
Tommy paused, turned around, faced Tubbo and whispered. "Woman."
Tubbo laughed, grabbed Tommy's arm, and dragged him away from the girl, saying sorry. "Tommy no- This is our first day of kindergarten. I- You cannot start fanboying over women." Tubbo pronounced a few words oddly, but otherwise talked normally.
"Right." Tommy nodded, processing that Tubbo just told him to not be a fan of women instead of 'don't do what you just did, but be a fan of women.'
The duo looked around the crowd of children, which was extremely overwhelming now that they were in the middle of it, even more so than before. The bus had left and the older boy that had dropped them off was nowhere to be seen.
"What if we looked for Techno?" Tubbo asked, looking at Tommy.
"Philza probably dropped him off earlier than us. Where would that pink bit-" Tommy was interrupted by Tubbo.
"No cursing in public, Tommy. That was a rule if we wanted to stay at public school." Tubbo frowned at the blonde.
"Definitely. I didn't process that. Let's look for Techno." Tommy shrugged.
They looked around for pink hair, and eventually spotted their older sibling, who had been held back a year because of behaviour issues, nearby the basketball court.
"THE BLADEEEE!!!" Tommy yelled and ran over to Techno, with Tubbo close behind.
Tommy ran into Techno, pulling him aggressively into a hug, and Tubbo caught his breath from the running, as that was a bit out of the blue for him and he didn't have as much energy as Tommy did.
"Hello Tommy." Techno said calmly, tolerating the hug but a little uncomfortable with said hug.
"Heyy when did you get here?" Tubbo asked, looking up at Techno who was about 2 inches taller than them.
"About an hour ago. I met a few people." Techno shrugged. "They all seem weak."
Tubbo and Tommy shared a look and Tommy laughed a bit nervously. "Yeah. Definitely."
The group looked around to see if they saw anyone interesting, which would be a tough choice because of how many people were here to pick one person to talk to first.
Techno saw someone interesting, because tall, and tapped Tommy on the head. "I see an orphan."
"Techno- What?" Tommy said, a bit concerned. The main reason Techno had gotten held back last year was because he broke someone's arm, and that person was an orphan.
"Let's go." Techno started walking towards them, and Tommy and Tubbo were ready to defend the person, in fear of getting in trouble with Phil for letting Techno murder someone
