Mondo and Kiyotaka had been dating for some time, the two were very happy with how well their relationship was going.

One morning Mondo suggested they should go to the beach together, Kiyotaka hesitantly agreed he never did have the best experiences with beaches especially since he couldn't swim. He shook his head at the thought of his past experiences... 'Trying new things is always a good opportunity to learn something new!' he told himself, staying in high spirits as the two lovebirds drove to their destination.

"Come on Taka loosen up a bit we came 'ere to have fun" Mondo said grabbing Kiyotaka's arm while dragging him to the beach with him.

"M-Mondo! Don't you think we should wait a lil before we head in the water.." Kiyotaka semi-yelled snatching his arm away from the other's grasp.

"why..? Barely anyone is here?" Mondo questioned, tilting his head slightly.

"I- um... I think we should just relax for a little while.." 

"Alright babe, but we are definitely goin' in later!"

"Y-Yeah sure thing!" 

The two of them laid some towels down along with a beach umbrella. Kiyotaka was quick to lay down on the snow like towel directly under the beach umbrella, it felt nice to relax for a while.

"ah shit!" Mondo yelled causing Kiyotaka to abruptly sit up a bit shook by the raise of tone.

"W-What's wrong?"

"I left the fuckin' drinks back at the dorms.."

"Oh well can't we just buy some?"

"eh i guess yer right, I'll be right back i'll go get us some cold drinks!"

"okay bye! love you Mondo!" 

"Love you more!"

Kiyotaka watched as his boyfriend ran to get some drinks, he let out an exhausted sigh before laying back down, enjoying the sensation of being outdoors. Kiyotaka's mind began to drift off, he began thinking about how eager Mondo was to get in the water.. Kiyotaka began to feel guilty.. 'Mondo really wanted to swim and i stopped him because of a dumb fear..." Kiyotaka closed his eyes and tried not to think about it, it wasn't a big deal he could just tell Mondo that he didn't feel like swimming.. He let out another sigh sitting up, 'I wonder how Mondo would react to me not being able to swim..' Kiyotaka thought, he began to play with the sand, thinking of possible excuses to avoid going in the ocean.

Soon enough Mondo came running back with their drinks.

"Hey Taka look who's back!" Mondo exclaimed, while holding two bottles of coke.

"welcome back Mondo! i see you have the drinks!"

"Yup and they're still cold perfect!"

Mondo handed Kiyotaka the bottle of coke, sitting down next to his raven haired boyfriend. Kiyotaka screwed the cap off his drink and took a sip, he instantly felt refreshed. Nothing beats cold drinks on a hot summers day!

"So how about we take a swim after this?" Mondo suggested taking a sip of his coke.

"I..I don't know.." Kiyotaka mumbled, screwing the cap of his drink back on.

"come on don't tell me yer scared!" Mondo chuckled patting his boyfriends back, who didn't seem as amused.

"N-No i just don't feel like it.." Kiyotaka whispered placing his drink on the towel.

"Don't give me that crap! we're goin' in whether ya like it or not!" Mondo said while grabbing his boyfriends arm *AGAIN* dragging him into the water.

"M-MONDO!?" Kiyotaka yelled clearly upset with him.

"What it's not gonna hurt ya stop being a pussy!" Mondo snickered dragging his boyfriend deeper into the water.

The water was at the boy's waists by now and Kiyotaka was showing signs of stress, he really didn't want to be there, if he had the choice to just disappear at that moment he would. Mondo soon noticed this and stopped himself form going any further.

"Taka you okay..?" Mondo asked clearly worried.

"..N..No..." Kiyotaka mumbled.

"Are ya scared of the ocean? if ya are you could've just told me"

"No it's not that..." Kiyotaka hesitated before speaking again.

"Mondo... I-Is it bad to not be able to swim.. I mean it's such a simple skill to learn and I-" 

Mondo cut him off by embracing him with a tight hug, resting his head on the other's shoulder.

"Babe why didn't you tell me..?

"I-I guess i thought you might think i was weak.."

"Aw Taka i would never... Hey how about i teach ya how to swim!"

"R-Really..?"

"Anything for you babe!" 

"I would love that..!"

The two of them went deeper into the water so now their whole body was submerged in water (Other than their heads ofc). Mondo helped Kiyotaka keep afloat and simple things like that, it was all a build up to teach him how to swim.. Kiyotaka had gotten the hang of it, but was still too afraid to leave Mondo's side, he felt like Mondo would keep him safe if anything happened therefore he stayed close.

Kiyotaka hadn't notice yet but he was actually swimming on his own without Mondo's help. Mondo watched as his Boyfriend swam further and further away from him, Kiyotaka was like a natural!

"Hey Mond-"

 Kiyotaka paused when he turned around he saw that there was about three meters between him and Mondo. His eyes widen in fear, he began to panic and soon lost his once afloat position and began to sink, They were quite deep in the ocean, this only made Kiyotaka panic even more..

"TAKA!" Mondo yelled, swimming down to his sinking boyfriend.

Mondo grabbed Kiyotaka's waist and pulled him up from under the water, Mondo surprisingly managed to stay afloat with his shaking boyfriend in his arms. Kiyotaka began to cough up water, clinging onto Mondo's shoulders as if his life depended on it..

"Taka m' so sorry i didn't want this ta happen..."

There was a long silence, the only sounds that could be heard was Kiyotaka coughing up water.

"I-I'ts not your fault... I just p-panicked.."

"Let's get you back to shore.." Mondo said as he made his way back to land.

Mondo made it back to shore and picked his still shaking boyfriend up Bridal style and made his way to their area of the beach, He gently placed his boyfriend on the white towel wrapping him up with another. Kiyotaka was much more calm than he was in the water, Mondo scooted closer to his partner motioning him to lay down, Kiyotaka was pretty exhausted by the whole experience so he gave in, he laid his head on Mondo's lap, Closing his eyes to fall asleep.

Mondo chuckled at the sight of his boyfriend sleeping in his lap, he found it adorable. Mondo leaned down planting a gentle kiss on the raven haired boy's forehead before deciding to lay down for a while as well.
