After school I ride home with Nash. Ever since the fifth grade I've rode home with him. Just recently he got his license. "I gotta pick Hayes up okay?" He says. "Okay." I say. "So, how's everything with Matt?" He asks. "It's great. Matthew is great." I say. "He's always liked you. I'm surprised he finally got the guts to ask you to be his girlfriend." Nash says. "Yeah." I say. "So are you two going to the dance?" He asks. "Yeah. Are you and Alley?" I ask. "Oh, about Alley. I waited for her today like I said I was going to... While I waited I saw her holding hands with another guy. I'm pretty sure we're just going to break up." Nash says. "That's... Something." I say. "I really liked Alley. She was so... Perfect! She made me so happy. No other girl ever made me feel like she made me feel." He says. "Sorry." I say. It wasn't until I said it how heartless I realized it sounded.
