I woke up early to make breakfast. I was happy at how the last few months have gone. I thought about how good school was going. How now I have a wonderful job. Taehyun being the sweetest person ever and the boys adopting me into the group so willingly no questions asked.
"Morning did you sleep well?" Taehyun wrapped his arms around me from behind nuzzling his nose in my neck.
"Mh I did what about you?" he asked busy making coffee.
"I slept well Actually, I woke up much earlier and was thinking about things that we should sit down and talk about." I take my seat sliding the plate to Taehyun.
"Mh okay what was that brain of yours thinking and how scared should I be?" Taehyun took a bite of his food.
"Nothing bad... I just... My exam is in 2 months and I am super worried about not passing." Taehyun understood my concern.
"You have been studying a lot. I have faith in you. I know you can pass this with flying colors." I smiled and took a sip of my drink.
"By the way... My family's anniversary is in 3 days and I want to... I want you to come with me if you can or want... I don't want you to do anything you don't want to." He chuckled and placed his hand on mine.
"I WANT to go with you... I want to support you in every way I can that day." I nodded at his kind words making me smile.
Taking our normal route to work Taehyun turned to me when he parked the car. I was going over the schedule in my head not paying attention to him or my surrounding. He pulled something from the back seat which caught my attention.
"Oh sorry I was in my own little world. So you need me to help you take that inside?" He chuckled and shook his head.
"No, Open it... It's for you." My face had confusion written all over it. The black gift bag with strings and colored tissue paper stared me in the face.
"What is this for?" I asked placing it in my lap.
"Do you know what day it is...?" I shook my head embarrassed. I really had no idea what day it was.
"No, I really don't." I sighed playing with the tissue paper.
"(Y/N) it's your birthday today." My eyes widened and I looked at the date on the radio of the car. I hadn't celebrated my birthday in years that I forgot I even had one.
"It's my what?" I said in bewilderment.
"It's your birthday and when people have birthdays they celebrate and receive gifts. So I got you a gift. Did you forget it was your birthday?" I nodded biting my bottom lip.
"I did. I hadn't celebrated my birthday in years that I forgot I even had one. It was just a normal day after the accident." He nodded taking in my words.
"Well, I will make today one of your best birthdays. Now open your gift please." I looked down at my lap and took the colorful tissue paper out one by one making Taehyun visibly anxious next to me. I reached into the bag and felt a very large box. Taking the box out a Laptop with a detachable keyboard that turns into a table and the matching pen was revealed.
"I can not accept this..." I started to panic unbuckling myself and got out of the car. Fear the only emotion I had known apart from sadness and misery took over. My fight, flight, or freeze instincts decided flight was the correct decision in this situation.
Taehyun
I knew this gift was going to be risky but I didn't think it would cause her to panic like this. I ran after her finally making contact with her before leaving the parking garage.
"(Y/N) please speak to me. Speak to me honestly. Why can you not accept this? I didn't mean to make you feel this way. I just thought it would help you study better for the next 2 months." I stood in front of her breathing hard. This moment right here would be the perfect moment to kiss her and ask her to be my girlfriend, but it is also the worst time to do it as well.
"Taehyun you had very good intentions but it's too much... the laptop cost more than my entire life..." Anger took over me and the Sky started crying heavily. Her words hurt so much. She carried all this misery, sadness, and fear no matter what anyone did. She always had her guard up and was ready to be abandoned at any moment. Already soaking wet pulled her into my body and cupped the back of her neck in my large hand. No hesitation insight I crashed my lips to hers. Kissing her hard pouring all my love and frustration into this one small kiss. My body tingled and the cold raindrops felt warm as they cascaded down both our connected faces created waterfalls at our chins.
"Your life keeps my life going. Meaning it is EXTREMELY priceless." I kissed her again but she returned the kiss this time. Our lips moving in sync while my hands traveled to her waist.
"You really have already made this day super special" She smiled into the kiss with her eyes closed and her bottom lip between her teeth. Our foreheads were connected and the rain poured harder.
"I love you and I want you to be mine for hopefully ever." She chuckled and pecked my lips pulling away.
"I was always yours" She giggled. I laughed and chased her in the rain and danced around with her.
We got back to the car and I set her gift in the back seat and called Soobin.
KT: "hey I will not be coming in today"
CS: Yeah I guessed you wouldn't. How was your kiss in the rain?"
I hung up chuckling and looked over at (Y/N). She was touching her lips smiling. I placed my hand on her thigh and started the car.
"Tae?" She said looking out the window.
"Yes?" I replied back.
"Can you take me somewhere?" This caught me off guard. She never asks for anything. I peeked over at her quickly to see her face.
"Yes of course ill take you anywhere. Where do you want to go?"
