"I love you" She told me first for the first time. I always told her I love you first but she did it this time. My eyes started to water and my smile was quivering trying not to break so I wouldn't cry. I turned my body to lay how she was laying facing her letting a tear fall out of my eye onto the pillow. Her eyes showed panic because of the salty water drop leaving my eye. She wiped my cheeks with her thumb. I pulled her closer to me and kissed her deep and passionately.
"I love you more" I whispered wiping my face. She smiled and connected our foreheads. The electric shock my body got when she touched me and the burning of my skin when she kissed me. My stomach has been filled with nothing but butterflies since I set my eyes on her walking into my company for a job. We stared into each other's eyes for a while.
"You know I lost my family really Young and haven't put effort into making one. I never thought I would hear another I love you from someone else. I am sorry I have been difficult in opening up... But Kang Taehyun... I don't want to go back. I opened up to you and it feels so good. I know we haven't been together long. We are coming up on a year, but I just want to tell you I regret nothing and never will." I smiled and bit my bottom lip. She was being so willingly expressive with me and my heart swelled.
"Baby I have told you many times how I feel about you. That isn't changing I promise. I know you were scared, you told me that but I don't want you to be scared. I love you and only you. From the tip of your toe all the way to the top of your head. I have never felt this way about anyone just like you. We will have rough patches but I promise to love you through those as well. Since we are on the topic of promises and love." I got up from the bed leaving the covers behind. I walked into the walk in closet turned left at my safe. I put the passcode for my safe in the keypad that recently changed to (Y/N)'s birthday. My eyes found the yellow velvet box right where I left it. I opened the box and smiled at the promise ring. Closing it and settling my nerves I walked back to the bed and pulled (Y/N) into my arms. Her back against my chest and my arms around her waist. I gave her the box making her gasp.
"Ta-Taehyun-" she began to stutter but I took her hand and stopped her.
"This is not a marriage proposal so you can relax. This is a Promise proposal. Everything I have promised you plus more will be legally bound by this ring on your finger. Just until I can put an engagement ring on here" I took the box and opened it. It was a knot ring but instead of silver I got it rose gold and got both our names in graves into the band.
"Taehyun" she sniffled watching me place it on her finger and kiss it after. Her other hand over her mouth stopping the sobs from escaping.
"I love you and only you. You are the Dream Girl I have been searching for and to finally have you is beyond incredible. I never thought this day would come I thought they were just silly dreams. But when I saw you the day we met I just wanted to scream from the roof of my building how happy I was in that moment." She changed positions to peck my face a million time.
"I have a confession. I used your last name to enroll for my exams. I wanted to leave the past behind and have never used my last name. Soobin helped me do it. I hope you are not mad." I laugh at her worried face that changed to confused pretty quickly.
"Babe you don't think I didn't know about it. I asked Soobin to help you do it. But I want to know... how does it feel to be called Kang (Y/N)?" She looked around the room thinking before smiling really big. The biggest I have seen her smile. Eyes disappeared, dimples on full display, and all her teeth showing.
"I already love it and can get used to it very quickly!" I laughed and started a tickle fight with her.
"Please mercy mercy" she said between laughs and I let her go. I hovered over her and gave rubbed my nose on hers soaking in the feeling of this moment. I took her hand and intertwined our fingers next to her head. Her eyes so big and beautiful with a soft loving sparkle in them. Her smile that she just gained back after so many years. I could never do anything to harm her. She has me wrapped around her little finger and glued to stay. I pecked her lips one more time then turned back over in bed. I looked at the clock and it was 3 AM. I laughed and looked over at her.
"You wanna take a bubble bath together?" She nodded pulling me to the bathroom with her. I turned in the water and sat in the tub first. She sat between my legs leaning her head back on my shoulder. I kissed her neck inhaling her scent.
"I love you Dream Girl (Y/N)" I kissed her neck softly still not getting used to the feeling it gives me. She isn't used to it as well because she still shivers with each kiss.
"I love you too Mr. Kang Taehyun" She whispered turning around and connecting our lips in a soft, gentle, passionate kiss getting deeper by the minutes.
