Chapter 1|home to the streets

I watched as the gate opened and i stepped out holding my bag of stuff from the day i was first arrested. The air was fresh and the block was hot. I walked to babyjoes car getting in being met with ben and Ken also.

  Ken smiled dapping me up "big bro out the pen how you feeling" he asked

I laughed nodding at " feeling good and ready to go home probaly take a nap" i said

Ben laughed " what they fed you in there" he asked looking at me as Everyone smiled

I rolled my eyes " fuck all y'all, i ran ma down on that comasary money cause food in there rank. Say mane you tryna stop and get me some food" i asked

Babyjoe nodded " yeah mabye a salad" he said as everyone in the car started laughing

I rolled my eyes shaking my head, these nigga couldnt give me a moment to miss em. It felt good to he out though. We stopped and got popeyes before going home. I opened the door being met with the smell of cooking

  My mom didn't look up from the stove " hey is that you Ken" she said

  I smiled as Ken and everyone else stayed back " would you be more happy if it was" I asked

  My mom quickly looked up and ran over hugging me " why didnt you call me.. You must be hungry" she said

  I shook my head " i wanted to see my friends and we ate already" I said

  My mom nodded " well welcome home.. How about we call the family have a nice little welcome home get together" she said

I nodded " yeah that sounds nice" I said as she hugged me once more before going back to cooking

We all went up the stairs to my room that looks like she had cleaned it multiple times even though I haven't even been here.

  Ben layed across the bed looking over at me " what you tryna do on your first day out" he asked

  I shrugged " tryna get back out there make some money and shit" I said

Babyjoe layed next to ben shoving him over so there was more room " i mean its your first day you aint gotta start right back" he said

I shrugged " i missed alot so i gotta catch up somehow" I said as ken nodded

We stayed up there for a while untill my mom started letting people in mostly family but some people from just the neighborhood.

  Ken smacked the back of my head to wake me up " yo welcome train is here" he said walking everyone up

I groaned sitting up " yall go ahead im finna change" i said as they all walked down the stairs

I got up and quickly got dressed so my mom didnt come rush me down. I walked out of my room and down the stairs were they all started welcoming me. I went through hug by hug and then started dapping all the guys up ending with kameron who also game me a hug.

  Kameron smiled " welcome home vruh" he said

I laughed ruffling his hair " you betta been staying out of trouble mane" i said

Kameron playfully rollled his eyes " it's not like you were" he said making me laugh

I walked into the kitchen where my mom was standing talking to someone they both looked up at me smiling

I nodded " hey ma this alot of people" I said looking around

My mom nodded " its yo day baby, its suppose to be fun" she said patting me on the shoulder

I sighed nodding my head walking back into the living room, i walked out of the house and down the steps. I sat down looking around as these guys came up to me.

The first one i knew from before i was arrested " aye the plug out the pen. How you living, you got that gas" he asked

I looked up at him nodding pulling some out my pocket, he gave me the money dapping me up before walking away. I turned around seeing my mom at the window shaking her head. I sighed standing up going back into the house.

  I looked around seeing her going up the stairs " aye ma!" I said following her up the stairs

My mom shook her head " stop kentrell" she said pulling out her phone

I looked at her confused " what you doing ma" I asked confused

My mom didn't say anything just started calling someone " hey taesha remember what we talked about?.. You still got that room right?" She asked

I looked at her confused " where are you going?" I asked

My mom was quiet untill she hung up " I'm not going anywhere.. Your going to Chicago" she said walking out of the room and down the stairs

I shook my head " oh hell nah." I said following her down the stairs
