Chapter 3 | missing jewelry

Kentrell

I woke up to people talking down the stairs i sat up walking to the door. I opened it to listen closer.

  Taesha sighed " no von im not blaming anyone i just need to know where they went" she said

Von laughed sarcastically " sounds like your trying to blame durk. Mabye think about your little project up the stairs" he said

Taesha went quiet for something " I'm not blaming anyone most deffently not durk.. And not kentrell" she said

I rolled my eyes closing the door and went to get dressed. Once i was done i grabbed my phone and went down the stairs were von and his mom were still arguing.

Taesha looked up "oh, goodmorning kentrell" she said

I rolled my eyes walking passed them out of the door, i started walking down the street and ended somewhere by some apartments.

  As i walked down the sidewalk some guy jumped In front of me out of no where " fresh meat" he said as a group of guys soon followed

The tall one with his dreads half up half down smirked " i got a good feeling about this one sosa, looks like he got a pocket full of something" he said

Sosa im guessing nodded " tax time nigga" he said putting his hand out

I rolled my eyes " ion got no money" i said trying to get passed them but the tall one pushed me down getting a sad look from the one who was standing off to the side

Sosa laughed looking down at me " you gon run them pockets or imma do it for you" he said

I didn't budge so the tall one stomped down once on my chest " how bout now? Pockets getting any looser" he asked

The one standing off to the side looked away " taurus stop" he yelled

Taurus rolled his eyes " calm down t it ain't that big of a deal" he said

Sosa kicked me once in the side before they all started punching and kicking me " take his shit before i beat them dents in" he said as i turned on my side spitting blood out

Taurus pulled everything that was in my pocket out i sighed looking up seeing durk standing close to me with a gun.

  Durk moved his finger towards the trigger " drop that shit" he said

Taurus went to go at him but sosa stopped him shaking his head, i felt all the stuff drop back down on me.

  Sosa looked at him for a second before spitting on me " keep yo bitch close" he said before walking off

Durk tucked his gun before looking down at me sighing " mane you can't be acting like you better then people around here" he said going to help me up

I slapped his hand away standing up as soon as I was up on my feet more blood came coming out. Durk stood there waiting for me to Finnish

  Once i was done i wiped my lip before going to walk home sorta limping " damn Keith got you good" he siad

I looked at him confused " keith?" I asked he was quiet for a second

Durk laughed nodding " yeah. I use to know him as Keith before he got deep in the streets. Now the niggas just a asshole that go by sosa" he said

  I sighed going back to walking as he followed me. I couldn't walk fast and he didn't seem to be rushing me so atleast he was a chill guy. Once we got back to taesha's house i stopped not moving.

  Durk looked at me confused " you going in?" He asked

I sighed looking down wiping my lip once again " i dont want to nor do I think I can make it up the steps" i said

Durk laughed " just go, i got you if you fall" he said 

I made it up the steps and walked straight in catching the attention of a supprised von and then his mom.

  Taesha came rushing over " what happened sweetie?" She asked going to touch me

I quickly jerked back shaking my head" don't touch me mane" i said before going up the stairs to my room slamming the door

Durk

I watched as he limped up the stairs shaking my head. Mrs banks rushed to get the first aid kit not like he would let her in anyway. Something seemed tense in the house which made me think that von had done something bad.

  Von tapped my shoulder " what happened to lil nigga" he asked in a tone that seemed like he actually cared

I sighed looking up at him " Keith." I said which he imeadly got and nodded

I looked up at him after a second " aye von you seen t roy?" He asked

Von smiled " yeah, he looking for you" he said smugly

I rolled my eyes staring at the ground trying to hide the smile i could feel growing.
