Light academia is known as a generally positive and bright version of dark academia. Valuing the beauty of life and intellectual pursuits, the key themes of light academia are finding beauty in the world around you including culture, art, history, literature, nature and philosophy.  Knowledge and intelligence are also highly regarded in this aesthetic as someone who fully embodied light academia can usually be found in the library pouring over old books with great interest, admiring some 16th century art wondering what the message is behind it or debating philosophical questions.
