A change is good sometimes....

CHITANDA ERU POV

I felt sunrays fall on my eyes which woke me up. Like my normal life I expected to get hot choco next to me but then was that I realized that I was lying on a rocky and slippery ground with spider nets and lizards roaming all around.I sat up and rubbed my left eye.

"sweetie you're awake?" The gaint man from earlier said while he was grilling fish in a barbeque style.

I daidn't say anything and wrapped my arms around my knee and cupped my right cheek.Suddenly my stomach growled in hunger.

"Hhaha...you're hungry?" the man asked.

"mmm..." I hummed and made a cute face.

"here you go sweetie" He said and handed me a big peice of of fish to eat.I stared at it and then moved my hand forward to grab it. I snatched it from him and he smirked.What if there is poison in this fish? I thought and stared at the delicious tuna fish in my hand.

"Haha, don't worry there's no poison in it" He grinned and said.

"Seems like you can read minds , you know telepathy" I narrowed my eyes and shot him a look.He winked at me and started eating his fish.I gave a what-ever look and nibbled my first bite hastily. No wonder the taste was heavenly.I took another bite and then the other...soon I had polished up all of my fish.I was surprised that I had gulped in all of my food so greedily and hurridly.It was not the "princess-way" .I bet if dad was here he would have definately punished me badly.

"Hehe...don't worry your father is not here ..... sometimes a bit of change in life is good , right?" He smiled and said.That smile was so tender and passionate ..... that , it melted my heart. His words touched me and meant a lot to me indeed.The man was surprisingly nice...it didn't seem that he was envolved in such a crime.

" why are you doing this " I suddenly said in a rather serious tone.He stopped eating and glanced at me. Again, he started gulping in his fish.

" Kamisama!(god) AT LEAST ANSWER MY QUESTION!! I KNOW YOU'RE NICE AND A REALLY KIND-HERATED MAN!! YOU WON'T DO SUCH A THING WITHOUT A GOOD REASON!! " I yelled and small tears formed in my eyes. The gaint man looked at me again and this time there were tears in his eyes too. I softened my tone and said "tell me.....please".

" I'm ...I'm sorry chitanda-sama....I'm really sorry...I'm a poor....a really poor man and....and my kids and my wife are dying of hunger. They live in a treehouse in this forest....we dont even have a house...they are crying and i'm helpless all the time. Then was when....I met this wizard and he told he would give me food and money so...I *sob* i got envolved in this crime...." He said and cried.

" No one in this village beleives on my dad...isn't it?" I asked and passed a sad smile." my father had done all he could ..... then why dont the kingdom start to have faith on him? My father had disturbuted money amongst the poor even when he didn't had enough money....he had wept with the poor...he had given jobs to jobless....then.....why???" I stood up and gritted my teeth. I clenched my fist and my fringes covered my eyes. Tears felt down my cheeks and they mixed with the mud on my neck (of course , she has not taken a bath).

" After all this ...I hope you wont stop me if I run away from here ...." I questioned or more like ordered him in the same emotinal and serious tone. He looked up and wiped his tears." go on..." he said. " very well then " I wiped away the dirt on my hand on my forehead and tapped my hands on my knees. I cleared my vision by clipping up my fringes and here I go!!! I ran out of the cave without taking a second glance on him. Enough being a pretty-princess all the time....enough following stupid rules....enough of it all!! I'll make my own way now!! Afterall....a change in life is good sometimes.....
