"Move it there! Don't do that! Hey! You handle it with care!" Maya-chan was busy ordering the junior servants who were arranging Stuff for the grand birthday party planned for tonight. I got bored watching her doing the work.I sat in near the window and looked at the garden. The butterflies , the flowers , the fountain , the--

"oh! Mom!" I saw My mom smiling at me.

"Dear, many happy returns of the day...I'm sorry I wasn't able to wish you earlier Because of the preparations".

"Its totally fine mom!" I hugged My mom And she hugged me back.

"Listen Eru , we need to talk." My mom said in a serious yet soft tone.

"Uhhh...s-sure mom" I guided mom near the bed And we sat together.

"See , Eru its your 16th birthday....you are about to become an adult. You are going to get more responsibilities on your shoulders soon.I don't want to talk  much about This topic today so let's just end it...."

"Uhh..Yes mom I understand" I said And bit My lower lip. The atmospehre around us became rather tensed so mom spoke something from almost nowhere.

"Uhh Anyways ...have you thought What you are going to wear today at the party??"

I knew it...something formal I  suspect. Like Kimono or hakama as usual.

"Uhh..kimono?"

"Right! I have brought a new kimono for you from the best shop of our area..And you are probably going to Like it!!"

"Really mom??!!??" I exclaimed in joy.

"Yes!!its red in colour And is long sleeved, I'll send it to you by the maid"

"Okay mom.."I smiled.

"Oh! Looks Like I have to go..take care" Mom kissed me on My forehead and left the room.

It was a while when I heard someone knock the door.

"Uhh..Yes?!?" I said.

A servant who was a male stepped in.

"Ojou-sama,My lord has ordered to meet you now"

"D-dad??"

"Please , can I go now?"

"Uhh..Yeah.." The servant closed the door And went away.What could dad want now? I'm curious but to find that I have to go And see.I  quickly wore My blue hakama And went towards the main palace hall.

I saw My mom And dad together discussing something seriously.

"Umm...sumimasen" I looked at My dad And said.

"Come in , Eru" My dad said in his most playfull tone ever. I was still afraid of him Because we talked ussualy like- once in 2 weeks so I was probably not a 'daddy's girl' . 

"May the almighty bless you with goodluck And health." My dad smiled And said.

"Thankyou dad.." I smiled back And bowed.

"Listen, today is your birthday And some special guests are going to attend the party."

"Who?" I asked curiously And innocently.

"Its the Oreki's from the nearby kingdom."

I blushed at the thought that it were the oreki's. They have been in a good relationship with our kingdom from a long back history.The prince of their kingdom...Houtarou oreki is a childhood friend of mine.There was a war going on in their area , that has recently got over And won by them , due to which , we have not met from  a long time. The last time I saw them was when I was of 4 . I was taken out of My thoughts by  My dad.

"So thatswhy , I want you to be in the best of your behaviour And be formal in a lady-like manner."

"Yes , sure" I assured him.

"You may leave now" My dad odered And I left his place.Wow! It was going to  be a rather good experience.I was excited And curious to know that How This evening was going to be!!!!!!!
