Three girls find themselves going to a party centered around a murder mystery, unfortunately, it might involve actual murder.

Three Amazing Chapters

As of right now A Murder In Disguise has three chapters, but these three chapters have amazed me. The mystery presented in just the first chapter is really nice. The other two chapters have great suspense and mystery. The characters have interesting personalities and I'm hoping that the author, Elena, will use this opportunity to develop each character.

Plot

The plot of this story is not necessarily unique, but it could bring some new ideas to the table as the author continues to write. Cliches should be avoided while developing the rest of this story. Original idea are key to improving this story. If there are more original ideas to come, this will make the problem of the main plot being cliche, not so important. I'm hoping that the author does some research on cliches and tries to avoid them, while also incorporating original ideas into their work.

Characters

The characters are a very enjoyable part of this story. I liked the characters personalities and their relationship as friends. I also like the side characters. They all seen to have good motives and such, but I'm not sure if their characters will develop or change. Hopefully the author will keep this in mind as they write. The characters should have good motives, wants, and personalities. I mean, they already have great personalities, but it's something to keep in mind.

Story Structure

The structure of this story is very nice. Things happen in order and make sense. I did notice, however, that the title of this story doesn't seem to really relate to the story. I'm sure there will be murder in the story, but A Murder In Disguise sounds very vague and doesn't sound very enticing or interesting. It's a bit cliche, so maybe the title should be changed. I'd recommend something like "A Party That Ended In Murder" or "An Invitation To Die". It should be something that relates to the story. It could be a hint as to how the story ends or some sort of twist that happens. However, it is entirely your choice whether to change it or not.

I'd also like to note I specifically said that I wouldn't be reviewing mature books. I was just feeling nice this one time.
