A not so merry Christmas

Hogwarts grounds were heavenly at any time of the year, there was no doubt. Therefore there was something more about Hogwarts during Christmas. Maybe it was the delicious smell of turkey and smashed potatoes, which the elves cooked nonstop, coming from the kitchens. Or perhaps the faint rhythm of the old christmas carols that the muggleborn students played, echoing in the halls. Or perhaps the sound of the laughs of the younger students playing outside, that could be heard even from the Gryffindor common room. Or even the holiday's decorations in the Great Hall, which the students insisted on helping to put on without magic this year. Or the jinxed mistletoe that fastened anyone's foot that passed underneath the mistletoe with someone and that would only let them go with at least a peck, which the Marauders planted around the school as a friendly Christmas prank.

Now was Christmas Eve evening, there were two hours for the ball and the girls were stressfully getting ready while the boys were trying to understand how to wear those fancy clothes. But they couldn't care less. They were static. James had finally convinced Lily to go with him - even though she claims that it was just a one time thing-, Sirius is going with some Ravenclaw girl that he was fancing this week, Peter had finally 'manned up'-Sirius' words-, and asked the Hufflepuff he been drooling for almost a year, Remus was going with his Belle, sa fille. And the best part, they had the perfect plan for Remus' 'furry little problem'.

"Okay, let's repass the plan." started Sirius, "The transformation will begin at 8pm which will probably give Moony time for some chit-chat, two dances I guess and a spare time for you two to use your crazy teenage hormones if you know what I mean." finished the animagi, smirking and sending a wink at the werewolf earning an eye roll and blush from the werewolf.

"Pads!" yelled James from the mirror, where he was desperately trying to make his hair look tidy - which was a challenge considering how rebel his hair normally was. "Would mind helping me with the hair?"

"Sure , but just so you know I can't possibly turn this," he pointed to James' hair with a disgusted face, "To this," as he flicked his hair, "In two hours."

"N/N how do I look?" asked Alice, swinging her dress which looked like Snow White's.

"You look magnifique! Frank will absolutely swoon!" responded Y/N. She was wearing an elegant yellow dress with small delicate details in gold.

"So do you! Lupin is a lucky man."

"So is Frank." said the girl giggling. "Can you help me retouch my makeup?"

"Sure thing, love." said Alice grabbing the powder and delicately applying it under her eyes. Soon enough a blushing Dorcas and a giggling Marlene left the bathroom. Marlene wearing a red gown and her blond hair curled while Dorcas was wearing a white gown and her hair was tied in a low bow. They were Snow-white and Red rose. Sure, they were sisters at the story but since there isn't a big amount of gay couples in muggle fairy tales this was the way, and since this is the 70's, saying they are okay with the Lgbt community is an understatement.

"You two look so cute." stated Y/N getting a shush from Alice, who was still helping her with the retouch, "Oh, sorry."

Frank, James, and Remus were waiting for their dates while Peter and Sirius were waiting for theirs since they couldn't enter their date's common room.

"How long do you think they are going to take?" said an anxious Frank.

"I have no bloody idea." complained James, earning a groan from Remus. "I mean, woman, how could we possibly understand-"

"What were you saying Potter?" interrupted a feminine voice from behind. They turned around to face the red haired girl. She was wearing a carnation pink dress and her hair had a little shell hair clip, like Ariel's.
