He was looking at me like the whole world had ended. Like I was the only thing keeping him anchored to life. My voice was raspy and cracked multiple time as I whispered his name. In the next instant he was leaning over me, wrapping his arms around my shoulder and pulling me in for a hug.
"I missed you Sophie." He whispered. I hugged him even tighter. We stayed like that for a while, not wanting to move. I wanted to hug him, kiss him, to simply hold him. I couldn't bare to be without him. So when he said,
"Sophie....Will you be my girlfriend?"
A thousand thoughts and emotions swirled through me as I remembered every single moment I spent with him. I said the only thing my dazed mind could come up with.
"Yes"
And then I kissed him.
