My mum drove me to London where there was a peculiar restaurant. It was so peculiar because I was the only one in my family who could see it. It was called, "The Leaky Cauldron". I opened the door and the smell of butterscotch filled my nostrils up. I smiled and proceeded in. I went up to the man at the desk and asked,"Excuse me sir, big I'm from a muggle family and I was wondering if you knew where to get these supplies?" He nodded and said, "Follow me to Diagon Alley!"
We stepped outside and beckoned my mother to come with us; she finally agreed. Outside in the back alleyway, it was gross. There were garbage cans and litter everywhere. The man whipped out a wand and poked at different bricks in the wall. All of a sudden, the wall opened up into a complete shopping center for wizards and witches! I gasped as I saw magic wands waving and owls flying and people in their robes. It was wonderful! I walked toward the man and said, "Sir, I haven't got any money!" He smiled brightly and said, "Dumbledore warned me you would be coming through the Leaky Cauldron, so he gave me a key for your bank account at Gringotts, the wizard bank! He also left you loads of money since he knows you don't have any; only muggle money. Well then, let's go to Gringotts!"
As we entered, I saw(information from the man) goblins at each countertop. There were big crystal chandeliers hanging from the golden ceiling. I handed a goblin my key and we walked silently to the back, where I assumed the cupboards were. He then told us to get in what looked like a roller coaster cart, and he pulled a lever. Me and my mum screamed so loud I thought it would break the chandelier upstairs! We swerved on corners but there were no drops; just little 1 foot declines. At last we arrived at my vault. The goblin took my Key and opened the vault up. It was filled with all types of weird looking coins; more gold than I had ever seen in my life!
After Gringotts, we went straight to Ollivander's. When we walked in, Mr. Ollivander looked me up and down, disappeared, and came back with a small box. He told me to give it a wave rand when I did, it glowed a bright pink light! He smiled, handed me my wand, and I payed him for it.
Next on the list was an animal. I thought for sure I would get an owl, but mums aid that over the summer she didn't want to have to pick up the poops on the floor. So, I went with a beautiful orange cat named Crookshanks. After I payed for her, I went to Flourish and Blotts where I got my books for the year.
I then walked to the cauldron shop and got a 3-pewter cauldron. I was set for the year!
I walked out of Diagon Alley with my hand full of things, and we put everything in the trunk. My mum was still surprised about all this magic stuuf, but she thought it was truly amazing. Her daughter was a witch!
