WARNING; contains SMUT and themes of degrading and honourifics. You didn't do well with crowds, never had. You felt that familiar chilling fear creep up your spine as you searched the foyer for a familiar face. By the bar? No, not there. Maybe he was already waiting for you in your seats, you should just follow the crowd and find your place. No, no. He told you to meet him here. Maybe... maybe he changed his mind and he had realised just how worthless you were. You really were nothing, after all.
Your heart was racing as you stood at the foot of the red velvet staircase leading to the stalls. Swarms of guests continued to bustle past you up the steps as they oozed the essence of wealth. You didn't belong here, not a simple handmaid like you and the twisting knots in your stomach let you know everyone else knew it too. You hadn't stepped foot in a place like this your entire life, let alone worn anything remotely as expensive as you were.
You did feel somewhat the part, and the dress was absolutely stunning. It is was a backless gown of a rich burgundy that flowed just slightly behind you, with large slits for leading up your right leg, exposing the flesh of your thighs slightly as you walked. Thank the stars you had saved your Grandmothers gold earrings and matching choker and not pawned them off like every other item of worth in your life in order to survive.
The last call bell softly chimed warning guests that it was close to the start of the production and you should find your seat. Right, you should definitely at least try and find him. Just as you lifted your heel to the first step a soft gentle hand touched the small of your back.
"There you are, little one." A familiar voice whispered in your ear.
Instant relief washed over you, and your breath hitched as your eyes came to meet the inviting iced pupils of the man you loved.
"Anakin." You sighed. Your hand automatically reaching for his as his hand caressed your wrist. "You came."
"I wouldn't miss it for the entire galaxy, darling." At this moment he finally had a chance to register you, really register you. His eyes scanned your entire body, pausing at the exposed skin of your thigh and collar bone as he worked his way up your body. A loose curl from your softly waved up-do had fallen across your face, he gently raised his hand and tucked the hair behind your ear.
"You are the most beautiful being in this entire building." He ushered. Heat instantly rushed to your cheeks as you couldn't help but smile.
"Thank you." You replied. "All thanks to you, the dress is so beautiful Ani. Thank you. You didn't need to spend this much." Embarrassed at the feeling you couldn't afford your own, your eyes went to your feet as you twisted your fingers. A finger instantly caught your chin and lifted your eyes to meet his.
"You are worth more than a few silly credits. You are everything. You deserve the entire galaxy and more. Now, shall we?" He offered his hand and gestured to the staircase you had started to climb. His hand resumed at the small of your back as you made your way up. You were about to enter the stalls before a gentle chuckle came from beside you as Anakin called your name.
"This way. We have a box this evening so we have a little further to climb."
"Oh. Okay." You said with surprise, and continued to follow Anakin up the stairs. After what felt like a lifetime you reached a small private area reserved for the two of you. Maker, you had never seen anything so incredible and extravagant in your life. There was a sea of guests beneath you in the stalls and upper circle of the Galactic Opera house, with a gigantic aquatic orb at the forefront. The Mon Calamari troupe were performing Squid Lake, a universally famous aquatic ballet performance supported by a humanoid John Williams symphony.
