(Normal POV)

Meanwhile, Thomas, Emily, Molly, and a few dozen other Engines were waiting at Knapford Station. Molly was at Platform 2, while Thomas and Emily were at Platforms 3 and 4 respectively.

Molly was anxiously watching the Main Line, hoping to see a sign of her boyfriend. She kept checking the clock every few minutes. By now, it was 10:30 pm.

By 10:45, there was still no sign of Hayden.
Suddenly, they heard the faint sound of a whistle in the distance.

Molly's eyes widened. "Could... could it be...?" She asked hopefully.
"I do believe it IS!!" Gasped both Emily and Thomas together.

(Hayden's POV)
As I got closer to the final bend, I blew my whistle again in the hopes that anyone could hear me.
To my surprise, a few seconds later, I heard another whistle in reply.

My eyes widened. I knew that whistle all too well. A smile appeared on my face.

I then rounded the final bend, and at long last, Knapford Station came into view. The Station was decorated with lights, and I could see Thomas, Emily, and various other Engines at the Station. But one certain Engine stood out for me: Molly, who had the biggest smile on her face.
I smiled back at her, and winked.
Slowly but surely, I pulled into Knapford Station, exhausted but triumphant.
As I pulled to a stop, all the Engines whistled loud and hard, but no one was louder than Molly.

As I was waiting for the Passengers to disembark, Molly, Thomas and Emily all reversed until they were alongside me. "You did it, mate." Said Thomas proudly, "You've saved Christmas. Thanks to you, all these People will be able to be with their families."

I was so overwhelmed with happiness that I couldn't hold back. Gathering all my steam, I took a deep breath, and BLASTED my whistle so loud, it echoed around the whole Station.

Everyone jumped, but then laughed as they saw how overjoyed I was.

(Time skip)

After my Coaches had been moved to the Station Yard, I wearily ran Light Engine just up the line until I reached Tidmouth Sheds, where I saw that both the 7- berth Roundhouse and the side sheds had Engines in them. There were only a few spaces available; which were enough for me, Thomas, Molly and Emily.

The four of us took up the remaining berths: Thomas and Emily were in the 2 remaining berths on the left side, and Molly and I were in the 2 remaining berths on the right side.

After we had all calmed down, we all fell asleep, one by one, until I was the only one left.
I took a look up at the starry night sky, and with a smile, I drifted off to sleep.
