An Old Friend

Star stands in shock seeing an old friend who she hasn't seen in years.
Tom: "your back...." Tom stands there just as shocked as star.
Star: "tom you look so....fancy" star says with a small giggle and blush.

See star has always had a crush on her demon friend but never said anything since she didn't want to ruin what they had.
Tom: "I can say the same thing for you starship" tom said checking her out with a small blush for Tom has always loved star and was never afraid to show it. Star was just too dense to realize.
Star: "though in all seriousness why was I called back?" Star said seriously.
Tom: "star I don't know why or how and I tried everything to stop them but-" before he could finish his sentence king river finished it for him.
King Tom: "the demon kingdom has declared war on Mewni..." Star just stood there in shock with thousands of questions going through her mind but all she could say was.
Star: "why?...."
Tom: "nobody except my parents know" *grabs stars hands* "I tried so many times to stop them but the only thing they said would make them cancel the war is...us getting married...." The room went silent. To silent, so star decided to break it.
Star: "how long has the war been going on?"
Queen Moon: "*sniff* two months*sniff*"says the queen in tears.
Star: "our chances?" Star looked at them with a serious face.
King river: "13% chance of us winning" see old star would have agreed without a question except that Tom and Star left off on upsetting terms.

Star was running all over in search of her crush deciding today will be the day she confesses. As star was running along the hell beach asking all around she finally got an answer.
Random demon kid: "oh prince tom went to the rocks"
Star: "thanks little one" after star finished her sentence she ran off to the rocks only to be in complete heartbreak. There on the rocks stood her crush kissing another girl. So in tears star ran home but little did she know that the girl kissed him just before star arrived. As star ran off in tears tomorrow pushed the girl off and ran after his one true love.

Star: "have you signed the papers?" Asked star hoping they say no.
Queen Moon: "that's why we called you home. We haven't because we wanted you to decide..." Queen Moon said faster she stopped crying. Star then glances over to tom's direction remembering what happened all those years ago.
Star: "give me 24 hours to decide please" the queen looked at her most treasurable gem...her daughter...and softly smiled slightly happy.
Queen Moon: "off dear" star gave a small smile and bored as a thank you and left to her room.
